Project 365: Day 122- April 1st

Mother Teresa said, "We need to find God, and he cannot be found in noise and restlessness. God is the friend of silence. See how nature - trees, flowers, grass- grows in silence; see the stars, the moon and the sun, how they move in silence... We need silence to be able to touch souls." And mm, how I love nature. Today was an absolutely GORGEOUS day to lay out and catch some rays! Nature just has a way of calming me. Making me feel at peace. Making me feel like problems just aren't that big compared to the vastness of this earth. That if God can make something as beautiful as the trees, the moon, the stars.. the sun, he can make something beautiful with my life.

And after the lovely 2 hours of laying out.. and getting sunburned, haha, Mom decided to make some burgers and fries. And she ALWAYS forgets that if she's running the deep fryer, oven, and microwave at the same time... a fuse blows, baha. You can see here... no lights are on.. because she blew the fuse... AGAIN, haha. I just love her! LOL

And then after downing some burger and fries.. I figured it was time for a WALK. So, I enjoyed one alone. I love just turning my ipod on and shutting out the world for just a little bit. Such an amazing experience :)

And this would be my April Fools joke I played on Corey, Makala, and Jennifer. The only 3 I knew that wouldn't take it TOO seriously, haha. Corey didn't fall for it, but Makala and Jennifer both said "OMG...." and Makala even asked how Ethan and I were after finding out, baha. I just love these guys! lol

My dad pulled a fast one on me earlier today by texting me and telling me I had a flat tire. I was devastated and to the point of tears because I thought I was going to have to fork out money for that... and then I couldn't go do the stuff I wanted... he thinks he's got jokes, haha.

Project 365: Day 121- March 31st

My morning started off working on Ethan's Easter present again. I had a lot of "pre-stuff" to get done, so that's what I've been doing before I go shopping for everything else tomorrow. I am super excited for him to get it hehe! I just hope he likes it! lol I'm sure, however, since food is involved, he will, bahahah!

Then, I went to lunch and shopping with my momma! Got a nice lil outfit for summer, I'm feelin' it, haha. I get hot so easily, so shorts and t-shirt/tank top work well for me in the summmmmma-time :)

And while I was out, I stopped at Wendys. Got me a #1 and figured I'd pick Ethan up a salad and take it to him last night so he'd have something for work today.... and well guess what I did. LEFT IT IN THE FRIDGE! Grrr. I hate how forgetful I am sometimes! So, of course, he didn't get his salad today for lunch... *smacks head* but here it is.. still sitting in the fridge. Looks great, huh? haha!

And the night ended with Ethan.. watching American Idol.... and the UFC fights. Whoohoo, right? haha! And can I just say, I CANNOT believe Tim Urban is STILL there. Sorry Tim, but Didi was a MUCH better singer than you. I'm shocked.

Project 365: Day 120- March 30th

Sarah Paretsky stated, "I wish I could remember where I put things. I spend half my life looking for my keys. With the other half I look for my glasses." And while the keys part is true *smacks head* the glasses part isn't... because I constantly wear mine, haha. And so I figured if I have to wear them, might as well wear them in style, right? hehe! This was just me trying out the orange pair again and you know what? I kinda like them! hehe!

Then, guess what I saw for the FIRST TIME THIS YEAR!! The Ice cream man! I heard his little jingle, looked out the window.. and lo and behold, he was driving past. I didn't get any ice cream this time because, well, I didn't have money, haha, but you best believe I will be enjoying it later on this week! :)

And after I weighed the idea of getting ice cream...and realized I had no money, I decided to go for a walk... to burn off the calories I could POSSIBLY gain by the end of the week, haha! It was a GREAT day for it. I didn't have anyone that wanted to walk with me, but it was okay! I enjoyed the breeze, sunshine, birds chirping. It was lovely :)

And then the end of the night was, of course, spent watching American Idol... because we're addicts, haha! Lee did AMAZING last night. He is definitely my #1 along with Crystal, Mike, and Casey. Who do I think is in the bottom 3 this week? Tim, Didi, and Siobhan. Hopefully this week, Tim gets voted off. But he's stuck around this long... I don't know why I'd assume he'd get the boot now, haha! Oh and can I just say that Andrew Garcia ROCKED "Forever" by Chris Brown? Amazing version. I'd download it. We'll see what tonight holds I suppose.....

Project 365: Day 119- March 29th

Katharine Hepburn once said "Death will be a great relief. No more interviews." And honestly, I can see where she was coming from, because interviews are stressful. I had an interview this morning with a local high school concerning implementing a distance learning program into the high school. I was so nervous, but thank God He was there with me, wrapping His arms around me, calming every worry. I have never been good in situations where I'm "alone" in something... hence driving to an unfamiliar location, walking around alone, etc. But He (God) stayed right by my side. Gave me an overwhelming peace. It was amazing. I am so blessed to have Him! The interview went great and I fully believe that good things will happen with it!

Then, funny story here, haha. I stopped to get a McDonalds Sweet Tea this morning on my way there and I most of punctured a hole in it in my cup holder or something because when I lifted the cup up to drink.... it spilled ALL down the front of me LOL And I located the little suckaa that caused the riff-raff, haha! There's the culprit:

Then I came home.. and lo and behold my glasses I had ordered arrived! I've been waiting so long for these it seems like and here they are:

And I figured since a job was in my future, I should get organized, haha! So I cleaned out and organized my purse. My wallet still had stuff in it from 2006. Yeah, terrible! LOL So here's a shot of me cleaning out my purse :)

And then I worked on Ethan's Easter present. Don't even attempt to guess what is up my sleeve, cause you'll be wrong, baha. I can't wait! I have some shopping to do of course, but Sunday will be so much fun! :) hehe!

And the rest of the evening was spent celebrating a GREAT day with Ethan! :) I met his momma finally! Yea, we've been dating for what seems like ever and I hadn't met her yet hehe! She was a sweetheart and we had a great time!

Project 365: Day 118- March 28th

How did I spent my Sunday you might be asking yourself? Doing the Sunday Crossword Puzzle and Cryptoquip, of course! The Cryptoquip today said: "When people make a long journey just to watch a certain old sitcom are they taking a rhoda trip?" haha! And dear heavens, I'm still working on the crossword, but I love it. Yes, I realize I am a geek, nerd.. whatever you want to call it, haha! But I LOVE it :)

Then, I walk past my dad's bedroom and this is what I see:

He made his own doo-rag, obviously LOL and wore it all day long, haha! I was losing it. He's too much sometimes, lol!

Then, I organized and picked out my outfit for my interview tomorrow. I think this is what is gonna happen clothing-wise, hehe! I'm so nervous! Prayers and thoughts are DEFINITELY appreciated my precious readers :)


And then, I posted some of Ethan's stuff onto Craigslist. He's selling his drums and fountain unit. If anyone is interested, please let me know! :)

Project 365: Day 117- March 27th

I finally received my diploma from Ashford University today. I graduated in August 2009, however, due to some financial aid difficulties, they were withholding my diploma. But THANK GOD, we got matters worked out and I FINALLY received it today! I was SO happy because it made everything feel.... official. It was one of the best feelings ever. And I cannot wait to receive my Master's Degree in May 2011. Another great day in my life I believe. Here are a couple of other shots of it:


And then I went to the Big Brothers/Big Sisters bowl for Kid's Sake with my mom. Here's a picture of her team:


And yes, I had THREE SLICES OF PIZZA. Ron kept making me eat more cause he bought it LOL and I had to make sure everyone knew about it!

And then my brother had to go back to college today :( Sad, sad day! We miss you already bub! Here's a shot of dad, Brad, and Corey hahaha... they think they're somethin!
