Day 480: March 25th- Baby Care Packages and Stuffed Shells!

First off, lets start with a lovely motivational quote taken from Quotemeal: "God has a history of using the insignificant to accomplish the impossible." [Richard Exley] Thought this was a good quote for today :) Don't EVER think you aren't good enough! And now for our FRIDAY update! I've gotten into a routine in the mornings here lately. With labor being possible ANY day now, I want to be absolutely prepared, so every morning I find myself getting up, getting a shower, getting dressed, cleaning the house, and making sure everything looks good JUST IN CASE Tayler decides today should be her birthday. I know, do I sound like a complete weirdo that I'm worried about what people think when they come over to my house directly after she's born? I'd be embarrassed if there were messes everywhere! haha! So, I find myself making sure everything looks spic and span... then I relax :) But there was no relaxing involved today. After getting ready, I met my mom at the mall and walked around with her for about an hour. With it being so cold outside right now, walking seems like a chore outdoors, haha! So the mall was perfect! We had a great time even if my mom does walk EXTREMELY fast.... especially when walking with a 38week pregnant woman ;) haha!!  Once I got home, there were 2 packages waiting for me! (Well, TAYLER... haha! The girl gets more mail than we do and she's not even here yet LOL)  My sweet friend Amanda sent us a Wipe Warmer :) Thank you so much, Amanda, we appreciate it more than you can imagine! 

And we had a baby care package from another dear friend of mine, Morgan! :) She bought Tayler tons of things! I figured I would share, hehe :)

After opening the packages, I got started on dinner. Ethan and I were having stuffed shells tonight (and since I was running out of time... and forgot to buy garlic bread, haha, I ordered garlic bread and a salad for us to split from our local italian restaurant and had that delievered :))

I cut some corners on the stuffed shells today, but they still tasted good... at least I thought so, haha :) I cooked the pasta shells according to the instructions on the box, drained those, and let them cool. I browned a pound of hamburger and loaded it with garlic and pepper and added cheese. I stuffed the peppers and covered them in Preggo Spaghetti Sauce and mozzarella cheese. Cook those at 350 degrees for one hour and voila! :) It was a yummy dinner.. and we had cinnamon flat bread for dessert. Mmm! :)

And I had to share. My phone beeped this morning and it said it had to do an update, so of course, I did the update and my phone like completely changed around! Any Samsung Epic users out there? Did your phone do the same? I think the neatest change was the 'texting conversations.' Check this out:

Alright, well... I think that sums up our Friday. Still no baby, but maybe this weekend? *Fingers crossed*

Project 365: Day 403- January 7th

At 19 weeks pregnant, we had an ultrasound done and were told my fluid levels were too high around Tayler. We were then sent for another ultrasound at 24 weeks pregnant where they were checking for high fluid levels. At my 26 week check up, we were told that Tayler had choloroplexus cysts on her brain and we were being sent to the Ohio State Medical Clinic for another ultrasound, measurements, and to see if the cysts were getting smaller or larger.

During the next week or so, I began praying for a miracle. During some prayer time, God told me that my mom was going to have a dream. I waited all day the next day, with no word from my mother. At 8:30AM the next morning, I woke up to 3 text messages from my mom. The very first words of the text message said "I have to tell you this dream I had last night...." I knew right then that Tayler was going to be okay! My mom had a dream of Tayler and me in the delivery room. She was just born- with chubby, full, rosy cheeks and such a sweet, beautiful face. I knew right then that Tayler was going to be okay, but inside, I felt like I needed a little more confirmation....

And then a few days later, God spoke to me in such a sweet voice and said, "Pray that when you walk through that door, the cysts will be gone... Pray that the doctors will be shocked." And so I asked for others to pray the same prayer.

Today, we walked into the OSU Medical center and went back for our ultrasound. The ultrasound technician started scanning Tayler's body. She checked her heartbeat-- a solid 146 :) And then she moved on to the brain. She started making measurements and she said "I would like to show you what we are talking about..." and she showed us where the cholroplexus was and told us if there were cysts present, there would be black spots. And then she said those magical words, "I don't see anything.... no cysts at all." I started crying! That was the answer to our prayers!

God is SO amazing! He really does hear our prayers and answer them! I am so happy and so relieved. I feel like a huge weight has been lifted off of our shoulders! Thank you to everyone that has been praying. Sorry I didn't fill very many in these past few weeks-- it was just a personal "obstacle" we were meant to face... and God took us through <3 I am SO thankful and feel SO blessed!

It was so relieving to receive some GREAT news :) After the ultrasound, we picked up my brother Corey and went to breakfast at Bob Evans. We had a great time and had a funny waiter named Dan. After breakfast, we dropped Corey off, and headed home. Mom and Dad took us back to our vehicle and we drove to Sprint. See, I don't have service in the village we live, so we decided that it would be a good idea if I joined Ethan's plan and cancel my plan with my parents. Which also means I  GOT A NEW PHONE! I LOVE it so much and I'm so thankful for it! Here's a few shots of it:

We had such a good day! We came home, cuddled up, saw it snowing outside, and watched "The Cotton Bowl" hehe!

Project 365: Day 201- June 19th

Ethan and I woke up Saturday morning and headed to Newark for Ethan to get his title for his car changed to his name and to get plates for his streetbike. Then, since my phone was malfunctioning, we went to Verizon and I got the EnV touch! I LOVE it! It's such a great phone and I feel so blessed to have it hehe! I needed a new phone desperately, so this was an amazing opportunity to get a new one! Here is the inside... a pic of my boy and me hehe :)

Then we hung out for the afternoon. I played the nintendo... Ethan played his guitar and serenaded me as I defeated Donkey Kong 3 haha!

Then we went to the Dresden Homecoming with Arena. Ethan tried to win this car hehe!

And then we came back to the house and had a Super Mario Go-Kart tournament.. and YES, I LOST!! :( haha!
