Meal Planning On A BUDGET.

Hey everyone and welcome back to Sittin' On The Dock Of The Bays!

Today, we are going to be talking FOOD.

I love planning the grocery list and I thought I would share a little bit of how we do that around this household.

Have any of you ever heard of Instacart? If not- MUST. GOOGLE. NOW.

We have been getting our groceries delivered for almost 2 months now. Yes- I said DELIVERED. Groceries. Delivered. It has been a game changer for this crazy family and it makes budgeting that much easier because I see exactly how much I'm spending and no one is throwing anything extra in the cart (like what has happened for 9 years during traditional grocery shopping!)

Our groceries are delivered through Instacart- and we do our shopping through their app- and we order from ALDIS.

I'm not joking when I say that we get SO much more food for the price. We used to shop at Walmart or Krogers, but since switching to Aldis, we have not regretted it once. More food for the same price- yes please! Especially when we are on a tight budget.

This week we spent $117.67 (we budget from anywhere between $100-$20 a week- and that is everything: shampoo, paper towels, toilet paper, food, etc.)

Here is what our grocery list consisted of, organized in to categories.

Lunches:

Cheesy Texas Toast (our oldest is obsessed with garlic bread): $1.75
Mozzarella Sticks $2.19
Pepperoni Pizza Snacks (like pizza rolls): $2.65 We ordered two bags with 40 in each.
3 loaves of white bread: $.85 a piece
Mesquite turkey for turkey sandwiches: $2.75 for 9oz

I also make a brown rice, kielbasa sausage, black bean, and corn mixture and pour it in to a bunch of to-go containers as well. It makes for a healthy, simple lunch we can just grab, heat up, and go.

Brown rice: $1.65 for 14oz
Can of corn: $.49
Can of black beans: $.55
and I already had an extra pack of kielbasa sausage at home.

Breakfast:

A roll of cinnamon rolls: $1.09
Fudge toaster tarts (like Pop Tarts): $1.25
Cocoa Rice Cereal: $1.65
3 dozen large eggs: $1.39 per dozen

I found a recipe for some delicious bagels and have been making them every week to heat up in the mornings for a quick breakfast. You take plain bagels, cut them open, and place them on a baking pan. Next, take a bowl and mix together a packet of cream cheese, a handful of spinach, a cup of Italian cheese, some red pepper flakes, a little garlic powder, and a little salt. Warm til cream cheese melts and mix. Spread over bagels, add a little Italian cheese on top, and bake at 350* for 10 minutes. Next, broil for 1-2 minutes checking on it frequently. So, here's the break down of what I purchased for that.

2 packs of bagels: $1.65 per bag of 8 bagels
2 packs of cream cheese: $.79 per pack of cream cheese
1 pack of chopped spinach: $1.09
1 pack of Italian cheese: $1.99 for 12 oz

Dinners:

Here is our weekly meal plan with a breakdown of groceries needed for each meal.

**Friday night- Chicken and Fried Rice
1 bag of chicken used for this and Sunday's meal: $5.99 for 3lb
Brown Rice: $1.65
Mixed vegetables: $.89 for 12 oz

I also purchased mayonnaise to make my own yum yum sauce which was: $1.89 for 30oz jar

**Saturday night- Italian Sliders and French fries

I found this recipe on Pinterest and modified it a bit. You take 12 Hawaiian rolls, place them on a baking dish, put pepperonis, salami, swiss cheese on top, add a little bit of red pepper flakes. Bake at 350* for 10-15 minutes. They're so good! The entire family tears them up!

12 Hawaiian rolls: $1.65
Pack of pepperonis: $2.19
Pack of salami: $2.85
Swiss Cheese: $1.65 for 12oz
Steak fries: $1.85

**Sunday night- Stir Fry (I wouldn't call it a recipe per se, but this is how my grandpa made it!)

Using 1/2 the bag of chicken from Friday night.
Green peppers: $2.19 for 3.
I already had onions at the house.
And I bought another box of brown rice: $1.65

I cook the chicken with some salt and garlic powder. Dice it up. Then I chop the green peppers and onions, add those to a pan with some melted butter, garlic powders, and salt. Saute those for about 10 minutes or so. Add those to the chicken. Cook the brown rice and I add a ton of butter to the rice at the end to make it nice and soft. Put brown rice down and pour the chicken/green pepper/onion mix over it. We love it around here!

**Monday night- Sweet Potatoes and Buffalo Chicken

Now, my friend Kelly is obsessed with this concoction and she keeps telling me I need to make it, so that's what we are doing this week!

Bag of sweet potatoes: $2.55 for 3lb
Another bag of chicken: $5.99 for 3lb
Hot Sauce: $2.19 for 12fl oz.
Sour Cream:$.89 for 16oz (we will use a little for this meal and the rest for Tacos)

Preheat oven to 400*. Poke holes in sweet potatoes and bake sweet potatoes in oven for 45-60 minutes. In a bowl, combine cooked (shredded) chicken, hot sauce. Take sweet potatoes out of oven, cut in half, pour chicken mixture inside, and add shredded cheese and sour cream.

**Tuesday night- This is our date night, so our children go to my parent's house for a couple of hours and we usually go out to eat somewhere! No cooking night for Momma!

**Wednesday night- Tacos!!

Tacos are a huge event in our house. Everyone absolutely loves them! My husband is a deer hunter, so we still have a ton of meat left in the freezer from deer season this year. I usually take a pound of deer meat, brown it, and add taco seasoning after rinsing. We add that to soft or hard tacos and add all of the good stuff on top!

This is what I had to purchase this week at the store:

Taco seasoning- $.35
Taco shells- $.99 for 12 hard taco shells
Using leftover sour cream from our sweet potato night
Using leftover Italian cheese from our bagels
I already had onions!
Using one green pepper from the pack I bought for stir fry
We already had salsa in the fridge too

Easy peasy dinner!

**Thursday night- Sweet Potato Sheet Pan Mix

Another Pinterest recipe.

What you need for this:

Chicken Apple Sausage: $3.29 for 12oz
We already have sweet potatoes from Monday night dinner
I already have garlic cloves as well.
And the recipe called for brussels sprouts, but I chose broccoli instead: $1.35 for 12 oz

Preheat oven to 400*. Chop chicken apple sausage, sweet potatoes, and broccoli, then toss together on the baking pan. Whisk some olive oil, garlic, salt, and pepper and drizzle over the chicken apple sausage mixture. Bake for 15 minutes.

I'll post pictures of our weekly dinners through the week, so stay tuned for that!

Snacks:

Moo Tubes (like Go Gurts): $1.75 for 8 tubes
Cheddar and Sour Cream Chips: $.89 for 9oz
Barbeque Chips: $.89 for 9oz
Moose Tracks Ice Cream: $2.15 for 48fl oz
Apple Sauce cups: $1.35 for 6
Granola Bars: $1.29 for 10
Chocolate Pudding Cups: $.95
Vanilla Pudding Cups: $.95 for 4 (We bought 2 of these because everyone loves them!)
Fruit Drinks: $2.19 per pack of 10. We bought 3.
Kettle Sea Salt and Vinegar chips: $1.25
Kit Kat bars for movie night: $1.55

CAN YOU TELL WE LOVE SNACKS.

Extras:

1 gallon of white milk: $2.79
1/2 gallon of chocolate milk: $1.79
Coffee creamer: $1.99 for 32 floz
2 rolls of paper towels: $2.19

Not bad for $117.00!

I hope you all have enjoyed our budget, grocery list, and meal planning. Stay tuned later this week for a break down of each meal with pictures!

How does your grocery budget work? Where do you shop? What do your meals look like?

Grocery Budget! :)

For those of you that don't know, I became a full-time-stay-at-home-Mommy on May 4th. It has been an exciting adventure. As a family, we decided that I should quit my part-time job as a photographer and spend my time with the kiddos. When we found out we were pregnant with baby #3, this seemed to be our best option. I was having trouble keeping up with two kids, an abundance of laundry, dinner each night, a working husband, etc. I couldn't imagine adding another human to this family. I am so thankful I have a hard working husband that has given me this gift-- I love my life watching my babies grow up! I love making breakfast in the morning! I love making yummy dinners in the evening (and I think the husband is growing quite fond of it too!)

Since I'm a stay at home Mommy now, part of me feels that I need to learn to BUDGET.. especially when it comes to our grocery list. Our bills are budgeted, but that's one thing I always go crazy on! So, I knew I needed to buckle down. While shopping the past few weeks, I have wrote down the prices of every item I typically buy. I have it on a spreadsheet and now I spend Tuesday-Thursday making a grocery list, calculating the total, recalculating, moving meals around, etc. I enjoy doing it... it's fun to see what dinners I can make for as little money as possible!

I decided to start blogging my weekly grocery adventures in hopes that I'll be accountable--- eat at home more, eat out less! That's the goal! I was spending $100 a week at the grocery and we were still eating out 3 times a week-- ridiculous! So, hopefully this will help me be accountable to all of you readers!

So I made a grocery list this week of all of our essentials and then I found recipes and changed things out/put things in until the grocery list was about $75.00.

I made a chart of our meals. Saturday we will plan for lunch and dinner (we won't be here for breakfast), Sunday we will plan for breakfast and lunch (we won't be here for dinner), and then Monday-Friday, I am planning out our dinners (the girls and I usually have sandwiches, soup, rice, etc. for lunches every day.)

Saturday: LUNCH- tomato soup/macaroni and cheese/grilled cheese/peanut butter and jelly
DINNER: Veggie Quesadillas (I usually make green pepper/onion/spinach quesadillas seasoned with cayenne pepper and taco seasoning) and I make a dip with sour cream (mixed with taco seasoning too!) Everyone seems to love it and it's really cheap!

Sunday: BREAKFAST- Hashbrowns (I make my own with red potatoes), over-easy eggs (I love to dip!), bacon, and toast.
LUNCH- French Toast with sausage links. It's a breakfast day apparently!

Monday: DINNER- Italian Chicken. This was a hit last week at our house and has been requested for two dinners this week LOL! I found the recipe on Pinterest. HERE is the link. It's AMAZING!

Tuesday: DINNER-  Cheesy Chicken, Broccoli, Bacon, and Rice. It's another Pinterest recipe, folks! I knew as soon as I read it it would be something my husband would LOVE. Lets hope he does! Link is HERE.

Wednesday: DINNER- Pizza Quesadillas. Okay, guilty. Another Pinterest recipe. I'm really excited to try these-- mostly because I think the girls will be in heaven. HERE is the link for this recipe :) It's super simple!

Thursday: DINNER- We are doing Italian Chicken (from Monday) again! Ethan's request :)

Friday: DINNER- We are breakfast people in this house! We are having hashbrowns, eggs, toast, and sausage gravy. Simple, but a favorite!

So, that's 9 set meals and some snacking (it's all on my grocery list) for $75.73 :) I really want to stick to this and not eat out at all next week... fingers crossed!

Our First Grocery Shopping Trip

We finally REALLY got out of the house today! :) Well, last night we visited "Papaw" (my dad) at a health expo he was working at (and he LOVED it... he walked around showing Tayler off, haha!) But today, we actually went to Gigi's work (my mom), Burger King, and Walmart to grocery shop! And Tayler loved it... (well, minus the whole throwing up in the car part...) She had a snotty nose this morning and I sucked some things out, but she gagged in the car (I think because I broke some of that icky-ness up) and then threw up because of it :( I felt terrible, poor thing. But she doesn't have a fever or anything! So, goodness knows!

She LOVES car rides and she LOVED grocery shopping. By LOVED I mean she slept most of the time (until it was feeding time.. and believe me, her lungs will let you know that it's time to eat, haha!) Fortunately, I'd warmed up a bottle prior to going in the store (thanks to the amazing invetion of a car bottle warmer!) And so she enjoyed a bottle while we browsed the aisles. Here's a shot of her first grocery shopping trip:

We finally got groceries so this momma can cook some dinners this week!

I'm nervous-- Monday will be the first day since Tayler was born where I'm doing this whole "Mom" thing all on my own! I've had Ethan here one week and my mom was here this week... so Monday will be an entire day of just Tayler and me! Today, I managed to clean the whole house during her first nap, so lets cross our fingers that our other days go just as smoothly, hehe! Either way, I know how much I love spending time with my sweet baby girl, so we should have a lot of fun in our upcoming weeks :)

And let me just say how wrong I was about American Idol last night! Okay, so I predicted 2/3 right in the bottom 3, but the person I didn't pick got eliminated. I really liked Paul too, dang it!

Day 482: March 27th- Bouncy Balls and Grocery Lists

Here's a quote to start your morning off from Hollie's Quotes:

"The thing is--- fear can't hurt you anymore than a dream." [William Golding]

That quote was more something for me to remember and think about than anything else, but hopefully it has inspired you today, too! :)

And now for our SUNDAY update.

I completely forgot to share our new bathroom set-up for Tayler-Bug. See, our bathroom is rather limited on space. We have a towel rack/holder above our toilet that holds our towels and Ethan also has his deodorant, razors, etc. in a small basket as well as his lotion and mouthwash. We also have one cabinet where I hold our excess shampoo/body wash, blow dryer, straightener, extra towels, etc. And that's all the space we have! So, we definitely needed to purchase something to hold Tayler's towels, shampoos, conditioners, thermometer, wash cloths, robe, etc. And this is what we came up with:

I love it! It comes out a little bit further than I'd like on the door, but it's what we have to work with, so we're working with it hehe! Yes, how adorable are her towels? I can't wait to see that little duckie on her head, haha!

And guess what I sat on today? haha!

Yea, yea, yea... it's all they had at the store! LOL I wanted an exercise ball, but hey-- Iron Man works just as good! I read online where if you sit on an 'exercise ball' and roll your hips back and forth or bounce for a little while... it helps encourage labor. Who knows if that is really true since I'm still pregnant LOL but it's fun while I'm doing it (and I get out of breath! haha)

We went grocery shopping FINALLY today. Yes, this momma had been slacking on that! We desperately needed it. We were scrounging around our cupboards to make things the past few days and today we grabbed food from 2 different places. Terrible! haha! And I have to say, my husband makes fun of me when we go grocery shopping because I have something like this with me EVERY time---

I bring along a list... and the recipe(s) I'm using that week. I don't know how women go to a grocery store WITHOUT a list, haha! I'd be scrambling all over the store, that's for sure. I love having a list because I know WHAT I'm there for. It helps keep me on a budget (most of the times.... pregnancy has put a bit of a damper on that, hahaha!) But the list is awesome... Ethan just thinks it's hilarious. I get it from my mother.. and I love it, haha!

After we got home from the grocery, we made some brownies and cuddled up to watch 'Diary of a Wimpy Kid.' My parents told me it was rather funny, so we rented it off Netflix and decided to indulge! It was so cute, haha! Brought back a lot of middle school memories for the both of us :)

Project 365: Day 466- March 11th

This picture doesn't do this meal justice, but I made "Bubble Pizza" for dinner tonight! :) I got the recipe for this back in the 9th grade (thank you Mrs. McConnell and Home Economics!) And it's been one of my favorites since. :)

I took 2 cans of biscuits and cut them up and scattered them across the bottom of the dish.
Then, I poured pizza sauce all over the biscuits.
Next, I put pepperonis all along the top of the pizza sauce.
I added some frozen crumbled sausage
and I browned some hamburger and added that on top of the sausage.
I cooked all of that for 40 minutes at 400 degrees.
Once 40 minutes was up, I added cheese on the top and baked it for 10 more minutes.

I hope you all enjoy it :)

Then, it was off to the grocery store! We needed some snack-os! haha And I was desperately craving some breakfast foods--- french toast sticks :)

We got our groceries!

I planned out our dinners for next week and bought all the things to make those--- maybe this will be my last week making dinners for a few weeks? :) We'll see if we have a baby next week, hehe!

And while there, my momma gave me a few gifts she had for me. The first one was from my paternal Grandma :) She dropped a present off to my parents for my birthday! How pretty is this?

Since I have the "sunflower" theme in our kitchen, we set it up in there :) I love it!

And she gave me a present from my maternal Grandma too! The last thing we needed for our sweet Tayler was baby monitors and she bought us one! They are amazing! Thank you so much to both of my grandmothers for these gifts! :)

And she gave me two of the most priceless gifts... EVER! :) She gave me a jean skirt that was mine when I was just a little girl and the dress that I came home from the hospital in!! :) How sweet is that? I cannot wait for Tayler to wear them and know that her mommy wore them too, hehe!

Once I got home, I unpacked everything, went to Ethan's work and got a salad, propped my feet up, then headed to bed! I was BEAT.

Cheers to Project 365!

Project 365: Day 459- March 4th

So. I have to say-- I'm getting old. What did I get excited about today? WE GOT A NEW VACCUUM CLEANER! Oh my heavens, how exciting is that? hehe! Our vaccuum broke a few weeks ago and we were trying to just get it fixed but it was going to cost a good bit to get it fixed, so we figured, hey! Why not just spend about $15 more dollars and just get a new one that we LOVE (and that has a hose!) So, we did it and oh my word, I'm in heaven, haha!

How cute is that little beauty? I know! :)

And then I met my mom at Walmart for some grocery shopping. Never good when you're hungry, but oh well. We needed it so I could get the stuff for our meals this week! I'm excited because I'm trying some new recipes!! :) We'll see how it all goes this week, hehe!

See all that yogurt? YUM YUM YUM!

And prior to grocery shopping, my mom gave me a present from a lady that she works with and her husband :) She bought Tayler some adorable things!

(An adorable little outfit, hehe! I just love it and it's perfect for summer!)

(Some cute bibs! "Mommy's little lovebird" hehe! She is!)

(And a cute pair of shoes, bows, socks, and finger-nail clippers kit)

Thank you so much Tammy and Paul!

I came home, unloaded all of the groceries, ate a snack, and went to bed! I was beat and the contractions were just starting for the evening, haha!

Project 365: Day 452- February 25th

I spent my lovely Friday working on a critical review for class (that isn't due until 3/28 but who's counting right? haha) Like I've been saying for the past few weeks.. I'm trying to get all of my work done before I can safely have Tayler, so I don't have to worry about going into labor AND getting homework assignments done during those weeks! I have 3 assignments left to go and 20 days until Tayler can safely arrive. We're almost there! :)

And while working on this critical review, I OF COURSE watched "Ghost Whisperer" Season 4. I'm almost done with this Season, then it's on to Season 5 :) I am so happy to be watching all of the episodes in a row!

And guess what I got today for our sweet Tayler Bug? Her Boppy Pillow! How pretty is this? Gah, I LOVE it! I am so excited for our baby girl to arrive! Soon, soon, soon!

Then I went grocery shopping with my momma! I love spending that quality time with her. It's only about 2 hours or so, but we have a great time doing it! I bought things for our hospital bags.. some travel toothpaste, toothbrushes, and deodorant...

And our fridge is full once again! THANK GOD :)

You know this girl loves her food, haha! After that, I came home, put things away, climbed into bed, and was out for the night!

Cheers to Project 365!

Project 365: Day 404- January 8th

We FINALLY put the finishing touches on Tayler's room today thanks to my mom (Tayler's Gigi, hehe) She made the bed skirt and curtains for our sweet Tay-Bug's room! Want to see it? Well, I would be happy to show it off hehe! :)

Gah, I ABSOLUTLEY love it :) Mom did such a good job on the curtains! Aren't they cute?? :) And here's an upclose of the bed skirt:

And mom bought some fabric for a blanket, so Ethan and I "made" it for Tayler last night too, hehe! Here's an upclose picture of it:

And her Aunt Susan bought her a sign for her room that we have hanging on her door. Here's what it says, haha:

She's our little Diva :)

And here is the proud Gigi showing off her amazing work. She did such a good job! I am so thankful to have such a good momma! I feel SO blessed :)

And this would be my husband and me in her room :) We couldn't be more happy or excited! 89 more days until Tayler's due date... and she finally gets to see her room, hehe :)

After we got the room put together, we went to the Depot for dinner, and then mom and I headed to the grocery store. I now know when to go to the grocery-- about 7:30PM on a Saturday night, haha! It was a ghost town in there and I LOVED it :) Plus, I love the fact that we finally have a full fridge again, haha!

And then I came home, Ethan helped me unload the groceries, and we cuddled in with TJ and Lakin (okay, we didn't cuddle with them, haha... they were on the couch, we were in the recliner LOL) to watch "Avatar." We've already seen it, but we all wanted to watch it again thanks to Netflix :)

And sadly, we fell asleep. We are seriously the worst host EVER, haha! They were both still awake and we were completely zonked out for like 35-40 minutes. *sigh* We're getting old LOL

Project 365: Day 368- December 3rd

I went grocery shopping with my momma today. I probably spent entirely too much money on food, but who are we kidding? You can NEVER spend too much money on food, haha! I had to open a bag of pretzels through the store I was SO hungry LOL Grocery shopping just isn't the best thing for a pregnant woman to be doing, haha! Just being honest here. I even ate before I left. Sheesh. But EVERYTHING STILL looked good :) Story of my life, haha! Can you tell what my breakfast craving is?

Yes... TOASTER STREUDELS. Amazing invention! :)

And while there, I also picked up another shirt to fit over this ever- growing belly of mine, haha!

I'm so beyond excited to wear it :)

And I picked up some jewelry to wear to Ethan's company Christmas party. I'm totally not dressing Christmas-y. At this point in my life, I care more about COMFORT. haha! So, I'm wearing a teal shirt, black dress pants, and black flats from Target. I'll take pics of the outfit when the time comes, but here is the necklace I bought.

I am so excited to wear it :)

Once I got home from grocery shopping, I unloaded the groceries and Ethan and I enjoyed 2 subs from Tim Hortons. We LOVE the chicken salad subs on toasted wheat bread. Yum! Then we cuddled up (with our new mattress pad on our bed!) and watched "The Polar Express" -- another one of my FAVORITE Christmas movies!

Project 365: Day 355- November 20th

So, hmmm... my morning started off a bit rough, haha! I woke up and ate the leftovers from the previous night (BAD IDEA) and drank some Orange Juice. Then, Ethan asked me to run some errands with him... well, as soon as the car took off, apparently that upset my tummy a bit and I started throwing up... everywhere. Finally, I got out of the car... did my thing... and got back in. Ethan checked on me, I told him it just hit me all of the sudden, and we proceeded. Well, I had brought some OJ with me for our trips around town and guess what happened after that? Yep, spilled it all over my pants. I was a mess after that. Rough start. So, I came home and changed my clothes and relaxed for a bit with 2 pieces of wheat toast. Finally, my mom texted me and I headed to Walmart to meet her. I love grocery shopping or just plain ol' shopping with my mom :) First stop of course was CHRISTMAS stuff! I got some more things for our Christmas tree:

I cannot wait to start decorating! :) And I picked up some candles to put around the house (about 10) for Christmas! They are: Pine, Cinnamon, Spiced Apple, and Vanilla Cookie. MMMM!

And then it was time to go grocery shopping! I'm really excited to cook this week. I have a few new recipes I am going to try, so we'll see how it all goes, hehe :) Here's our full fridge! I LOVE SNACKS!

And guess what my gorgeous mom did for me? She bought me 3 new shirts (since I am smuggling a basketball these days hahaha) Here's the blue shirt she bought me:

I'd say I've kind of popped. What about you? haha! And here are the 2 other shirts she bought me:

I can't wait to wear these! :) THANK YOU SO MUCH MOM!!

After our shopping trip, I headed home and Ethan and I cuddled up on the couch and watched the Ohio State vs. Iowa game. What a game! I really thought the Hawkeyes were taking us down, but Ohio State overcame thanks to an amazing run by Terrell Pryor and Sanzenbacher saving our day with that touchdown! Posey could have alleviated that stress a lot earlier had he actually caught that pass, haha, but oh well-- it made for quite the game. Ethan and I were screaming at the TV and God love Tayler, she was bouncing around like crazy! She knew something was going on out there, haha! But we had a victory nonetheless- 20 to 17 :)

And after the Ohio State game, it was "The Office" time, haha! Yes, Ethan and I BOTH are addicted now! We're almost done with Season 3 :) We love it!

Cheers to Project 365!

Project 365: Day 340- November 5th

It was a cold, wintery day out there today... which meant it was the perfect day for Ethan to go hunting haha! He raced home and changed his clothes and hit the road to go bow-hunting while I headed to the store to go grocery shopping :) I loveee grocery shopping with my momma! It's about an hour- hour and a half of time we get to spend just us. Given, we spend most of it figuring out what is a bargain... avoiding certain people (haha).. and getting through the traffic of people (yea, it was the first Friday of the month.. sheesh, haha!) But we did it and we enjoyed it! We even had a really nice cashier! It drives me crazy when the person checking you out doesn't even talk to you. This lady was super talkative, I loved it! And yes, this is what our fridge looks like... every pregnant woman's dream, haha!

Pudding, jello, apple sauce, jalapeno cheese sticks... yum yum yum!

I even picked up the letters we are using for Tayler's name above her crib and the pink paint for it. Here's Daddy painting the "L," "E," and "R."

Yes, he even kept his hunting gear on because he was super cold, hehe :)

And here is the finished product:

The "T," "A," and "Y" that I pained andddd....

And the "L," "E," and "R" that Ethan painted :)

And here is what we are planning on doing with them:

The letters are going to be pasted to the black and white circles and those are going to be stuck over her crib :) We are so excited! I have to go back to the store today and buy more circles to paint though because I underestimated the size of her walls! haha! So, Hobby Lobby... I'll see you again tomorrow :)

And a little view of the girl we're doing ALL of this for:

Tayler, we absolutely love you and we are sooo excited to decorate your room for you!

Cheers to Project 365!

August 13th Journal Prompt: Anger.

The journal prompt of the day is: How do you deal with your anger? I bottle a lot of my emotions up inside. If I feel anger- it may show on...
