Project 365: Day 132- April 11th

“Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment, or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around.”

I woke up this morning and decided to make sausage gravy and biscuits for breakfast for Ethan hehe :) I love doing things for others... just seeing the smile on his face when he saw the food was enough for me. I absolutely love it. And after we ate breakfast, since we didn't get the opportunity to sing to him last night... I lit those candles and sang Happy Birthday to my birthday boy hehe! We had such a fun day today! We decided to drive to the town over and visit their model homes place, haha. We went inside every house, sat around, acted like it was our house... haha! We are such geeks, but oh my heavens, I haven't had that much fun in so long haha!

Then, I left Ethan's and went to my brothers and dad's softball game. Here's a shot of some of the team:

And here's a shot of us girls watching:

And then we all went to Steak and Shake. It was sooo good! I got a single burger with lettuce, onions, and tomato and fries dipped in honey mustard with a Mr. Pibb. Mmmm! Scrumptious, haha!

Project 365: Day 131- April 10th

So, I got home this morning from Ethan's house and was SO excited to watch season 1 of Supernatural and season 1 of Ghost Whisperer. I bought both seasons the other day and just hadn't had a chance to watch them yet. So, I settled in with some comfy clothes, glass of cranberry juice, and my remotes.. ready to relax! And guess what? My DVD player wouldn't work. Now, mind you, I haven't really been home for about a week or maybe even two, so it hadn't been used in that length of time and it worked perfectly fine the last time I used it. There was NO reason for it not to be working. I was so frustrated... I have a curse with technology it seems like.. and it was plaguing yet again. Bummer, right? I told my mom and she was upset as well because I'd only had this thing for like 3 months MAX. I got online and started looking up what to do when the DVD player says "no disc" when there really is a disc in there... oh there were tons of things that could be wrong. So, I started cleaning it out.. nothing. Since it wasn't working, I just decided I was going to pack everything up and take it back to Sears. Right as I was getting ready to click out of the website I was on, I read where one guy said all that was wrong with his was the battery was dead.... oops... here the DVD player wasn't plugged in and didn't have enough battery power... so, I plugged it in and LO AND BEHOLD.. it worked haha! There's my lovely story for the day lol Enjoy it! haha

Then, after that dramatic incident, my mom and I went shopping. We went to Catos and Walmart. I got a cute new headband that I'm in LOVE with haha and a couple of shirts. One says "My lips are sealed" from the Miley Cyrus line, haha. Some of the shirts were on sale at Walmart for $1.50 so I picked a few up. And my mom and I went to BK. We hadn't been there in awhile.. and mmm it was good, haha! Here's the headband I bought:

And then I went to Ethan's house for his birthday. I put the whipped topping on the cake and put his candles on so we could sing to him and he could make his wishes! hehe!

Happy Birthday Ethan! I love you!

Cheers to Project 365!

Project 365: Day 130- April 9th

I believe in sleeping in.
I believe in giving 100% when you only have 80.
I believe jamming out by yourself in the car.
I believe in kisses on the forehead.
I believe in smiling till your cheeks hurt.
I believe in being silly & crazy with your friends.
I believe in taking chances & making mistakes.
I believe in having someone tell you you're beautiful.
I believe in swinging on swings & running in the rain.
I believe in miracles & random acts of kindness.
I believe in saying hello to anyone & everyone.
I believe in 2nd chances & that everyone deserves one.

While cleaning the house that I live in probably isn't necessarily defined as a random act of kindness, I'm including it today because I do it out of love. I do it because I want my mom to come home from work and not have to worry about anything. I do it because I am so grateful that I have a place to live without having to pay rent while trying to get through grad school. I do it because I know that it is the right thing to do. And, well, I do it because I love jammin to some CMT while sweeping, haha! Y'all know my Friday routine by now, right? haha!

And after cleaning, I met my mom at the grocery store. It was pretty busy and the lines were forever long.. so my mom starts analyzing the chocolate bars.. and here's what she finds:

Yeah, the King Size candy bar is $1.18 (the candy bar at the top) and the Regular Size candy bar is $1.00 (the candy bar at the bottom)... think people are getting ripped off? Yea, I'm sure they are.

Then, I bought a shirt at Walmart.. it says it was a small... that's the size I wear, right? Yea, I tried that sucker on and lets just say I looked like the Incredible Hulk. That sucker ripped in like 45 different spots as soon as I put it on, haha. See that:

Amazing, huh? haha! And while at Walmart I bought TONS of stuff to make a Brownie Chocolate Chip Cheesecake since Ethan's birthday is tomorrow :) And he LOVES Brownies and Cheesecake! Here's a shot of me making the cake:

And the finished product. I should have bought whipped topping, but oh well! you live and learn I guess, huh? haha! Here's the link to the recipe for it:

http://allrecipes.com/Recipe/Brownie-Chocolate-Chip-Cheesecake/Detail.aspx

And while making this lovely little cake... and trying to get the chocolate chip bag open... I busted it and spilled them everywhere. You know nothing I do can ever go EXACTLY right bahaha!

And the rest of the night was spent with Ethan and Scott haha. We watched good ol' Avatar and laughed til late! Good times, good times :)

Project 365: Day 103- March 13th

I close my eyes, thinking that there is nothing like an embrace after an absence, nothing like fitting my face into the curve of his shoulder and filling my lungs with the scent of him.
So, I let Ethan open his birthday present early. I know, I’m a total sucker, haha! But I was so excited and I’m TERRIBLE with surprises, baha! So I took it to him and let him open it.. and he loved it! I am so happy! I sometimes think I love buying people presents more than getting presents lol! I just love seeing their reactions! One of my favorite things!
I like when we sit next to each other and your leg fits perfectly against mine. I like when our feet bump
and we don't apologize.
I like this comfort.
I like this closeness.

I like you.
Yea, I love waking up next to this man, hehe! I had to wake up kinda early because I had a busy day today, soo here’s a cute lil picture of Eth still snoozing.. and me snapping pics, per usual :)
Then it was off to Chloe Rose's 4th birthday party!
She turns 4 on March 16th, so we had a Thomas the Train party to celebrate that! And of course, two of my favorite people EVER were there, haha! My sister and my cousin… and we had a grand ol’ time.

And then, since my dad’s birthday was yesterday, we took him to Columbus for dinner and to a Columbus Blue Jackets game tonight! It was a surprise.. and lemme tell ya! He was surprised, haha! His reaction was priceless when he saw the tickets.. and he even got a little choked up, which made me choked up, hehe! Here’s a few pictures from the game:
Fights, my favorite part, haha!
And the crew, haha! Mom, Dad, Corey, and me :) We had such a good time!
Happy Birthday Dad!

Cheers to a crazy, busy day... and Project 365! :)

Project 365: Day 102- March 12th

“People always say that, when you love someone, nothing in the world matters. But that’s not true, is it? You know, and I know, that when you love someone, everything in the world matters a little bit more.”

So, it's the boyfriend's birthday in a few weeks and I had this idea that I was going to buy him an Ipod or a Zune because, well, I get sick of burning CDs for him when he gets tired of the one he has, haha! So, thanks to a good friend Abi, she helped me out, and we got the hook up for Eth. A 32GB Zune, car charger, wall charger, USB cord, and 2 covers for an absolutely amazing price! So, of course, I jumped on that deal. Last night I uploaded the Zune software, got TONS of music, and picked up the Zune today, haha! I am SO excited to give it to him. He already knows he's getting it, but oh well! We got about 1700 songs on it, some playlists, his motorcycle as the background... he is set to go! I can't wait to give it to him when he gets home from work! :)

Here's another shot of it and all the stuff with it:

And some great people that I know are selling peanut butter eggs, so I picked up 2 of those for Ethan and I today. Can't wait to eat it! Yum!

And TODAY WAS A FLIP FLOP day! Do you know how excited I was? LOL Everyone told me I looked so comfy! I had on an old school Old Navy cotton skirt, tank top, and some flip flops wifffff my hobo bag, haha! Beach bum, anyone? lol :)

And the day ended with Ethan! He got to open his birthday present early cause he's spoiled, haha! So there are my bags :)

Happy Birthday Dad! :)

Cheers to Project 365!
