Project 365: Day 346- November 11th

Today marks being pregnant for 19 weeks. Yes, almost half way there :) I know I always say this, but it seriously feels like just yesterday I was announcing that we were expecting and here we are-- mid November. Amazing how life changes, right? Well, here's this momma at 19 weeks pregnant:

And here's a belly shot of Tayler at 19 weeks hehe

And after taking these pictures to document today, I got started painting! Yes, I am still painting things for Tayler's room. What a complete slacker, haha! But guess what? I finally got it ALL done today :) And everything is laid out in her room to start hanging up :)

And the letters for above her crib:

And after painting (and downing 64 oz. of water in 2 hours WITHOUT going to the bathroom) I was off with Mom and Dad for Tayler's ultrasound. I had to pee oh so bad, it was insane! I sat on my foot the whole car ride there (thank God I didn't have to drive, haha!) and once we got there, I barely hugged Ethan so I wouldn't be squeezed, walked through the door, signed some papers, and sat back down on my foot. Oh and guess what! They were running 20 minutes behind schedule AND told me to be there 20 minutes early to sign papers (when in reality I signed... okay, more like initialed ONE, haha)... so yes, I was there at 4:40PM for a 5:00PM appointment that was actually not til 5:20PM and I hadn't been to the bathroom since 3PM.... oh the joys of being pregnant, hahaha! :) Finally, I went back to the room and I told her "I have to pee so so bad.." and she said "Oh sweetie, you'll be fine!" (Okay? haha!) So I laid down, crossed my legs a little, and we got started. And guess what she said? "Good Lord sweetie... your bladder is REALLY full." In side I was thinking "Ya think??" haha! So, she did some measurements, took a few pictures, then let me potty! Thank You Lord, haha! But anyways, we got to see our Tayler bug and be for sure that SHE was a SHE :) Here's our angel now:

The ultrasound technician said "I can't even get a good picture of her. She won't stop moving!!!" LOL Another person telling us our daughter is extremely active, haha! She asked me what I drank and ate--- water and a bag of doritos? haha! I swear I didn't have Mt. Dew and cupcakes, haha!

After that, I was STARVING, so we went to Quiznos with mom and dad! I got the yummy honey bourbon chicken sandwich on wheat-- my absolute favorite! Here's a picture of Ethan and me after eating:

Tayler and I just love Daddy :)

And here's my wonderful parents at Quiznos. I'm so thankful they're being so supportive through everything! I have been so immensely blessed!

Project 365: Day 343- November 8th

I got up rather early this morning to finish my project for class and clean up around the house. I was a slacker the night before, so I had LOTS to clean up. By 9:30/10:00.... EVERYTHING was done... and I wasn't feeling the greatest. The changing of the seasons is really getting to me. Like seriously, if the weather would either stay at a constant FREEZING point or a constant 60 degree point, it would be great! But noooo, it's 20 degrees at night and 60 degrees through the day... poor wittle Alyssa's body can't handle that, haha! Not to mention, I couldn't get the salsa lid open :( I had an awful meltdown. But have no fear-- Kat was here. No, no, no...she didn't open the salsa container... I got a card in the mail from her :)

Yes, it definitely brightened up my day :) Thank you Kat!

After that, I worked on dinner. We were having cheesy bacon bites and pigs in a blanket :) Oh, the cheesy bacon bites were AMAZING (if I do say so myself, haha!)

They look kind of "icky" in this picture, haha, but I SWEAR they are yummy. How do you make them you might be wondering?

1 package (3 ounce ) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup Real Bacon Pieces
2 tablespoons chopped onions
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 package (8 ounce) refrigerated crescent rolls

Preheat oven to 350° F.
Combine cream cheese, bacon, onion and pepper in a Batter Bowl.
Separate crescent rolls into triangles.
Pinch seams together. Spread cheese mixture on each triangle.
Roll up, starting at longest side, and seal.
Cut each roll into 16 slices.
Place slices cut side down, on flat Baking Stone. Bake
for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

(Pampered Chef Recipe)
It was yummy! After that, Ethan rode his street bike and I painted the rest of the circles for Tayler's bedroom and glued the letters of her name on to the polka dots. We want to get those hung up in her room by Tuesday night or Wednesday night.

Once E got home, we put our peejays on, cuddled up on the couch, and watched "He's Just Not That Into You." Yep, my choice tonight, haha!

Project 365: Day 340- November 5th

It was a cold, wintery day out there today... which meant it was the perfect day for Ethan to go hunting haha! He raced home and changed his clothes and hit the road to go bow-hunting while I headed to the store to go grocery shopping :) I loveee grocery shopping with my momma! It's about an hour- hour and a half of time we get to spend just us. Given, we spend most of it figuring out what is a bargain... avoiding certain people (haha).. and getting through the traffic of people (yea, it was the first Friday of the month.. sheesh, haha!) But we did it and we enjoyed it! We even had a really nice cashier! It drives me crazy when the person checking you out doesn't even talk to you. This lady was super talkative, I loved it! And yes, this is what our fridge looks like... every pregnant woman's dream, haha!

Pudding, jello, apple sauce, jalapeno cheese sticks... yum yum yum!

I even picked up the letters we are using for Tayler's name above her crib and the pink paint for it. Here's Daddy painting the "L," "E," and "R."

Yes, he even kept his hunting gear on because he was super cold, hehe :)

And here is the finished product:

The "T," "A," and "Y" that I pained andddd....

And the "L," "E," and "R" that Ethan painted :)

And here is what we are planning on doing with them:

The letters are going to be pasted to the black and white circles and those are going to be stuck over her crib :) We are so excited! I have to go back to the store today and buy more circles to paint though because I underestimated the size of her walls! haha! So, Hobby Lobby... I'll see you again tomorrow :)

And a little view of the girl we're doing ALL of this for:

Tayler, we absolutely love you and we are sooo excited to decorate your room for you!

Project 365: Day 329- October 25th

So, I had to say goodbye to my sweetheart yet again this morning. Yes, this is getting rather old :( He's had to go out of town for his job the past 2 weeks and it really bums me out! I miss him so much when he is gone. But I guess at least he got to come home over the weekend so he could be there for the ultrasound :) That definitely made Tayler and me happy! So, after saying too-da-loo to him, I headed to my parent's house. Everyone felt it was safer that while he was gone, I stayed with them... and I agreed! It felt like it took forever to get there, but once I got there I immediately went back to bed haha! I was going to stay up and work on my project for class that was due tonight, but.... sleep won! :)

About 8 I woke up to a starving baby, haha! So, I ate and got started on my project. I worked for about 4 hours organizing an outline, creating a powerpoint project, creating a blog for Multiple Intelligences.. and submitted it! What a relief.

Looks pretty, huh? haha!

Yea.. I thought so too until about 2PM when I got an e-mail that it was done wrong. Bummer, right? :( Sooo, I went back, re-read the directions, read through a great deal of information and about 2 hours later, I re-submitted my project the right way (or at least I HOPE it was the right way, haha)

After working on that, I threw in the dinner my mom pre-made.... it's my FAVORITE :) and worked on painting some of the polka dots for Tayler's bedrom:

I'm almost done painting all of them! YAY :) And while working on all of this today, I watched "Shutter" on FX. What a rather creepy movie.. that had a rather interesting twist! I was kind of surprised honestly.

Then mom came home and we had HAWAIIAN CHICKEN! She must really love me! And I think Tayler REALLY liked it... we had 3 helpings before we were full, haha! I'm not even kidding.. 2 helpings.. and my tummy was STILL growling! Oh, it was sooo yummy! Thank you so much mom for making it for me :)

All in all-- it was a great day. I missed my sweetheart, but I know one day down is one day closer to seeing him :)

Project 365: Day 309- October 5th

I woke up this morning and it was a bit of a rough morning. Morning sickness has passed for the most part, but some mornings are a tad bit on the ickier (is that a word?) side. However, I soon digested some sausage biscuits and a sprite and started feeling somewhat normal again. So, I worked on my "project" for a few minutes and then got started on painting more polka dots to hang from the baby's walls. We are doing a black and white polka dot theme if you'll remember, so I've been working on painting the black and white circles while we are still in limbo land as to what Baby B is.

And speaking of not having any idea what gender this lil' rug rat is-- we have some GREAT news. We are getting a 3D/4D ultrasound October 23rd and we will FINALLY know what Baby B is! I know, I say finally like I'm 23 weeks pregnant or something, haha! But you're dealing with 2 very impatient parents here that are dying to know-- and getting broken hearted every time we get a phone call that says "Do you know what you're having yet? I'm at the store and I saw this really cute...." Honestly, I think it's a boy, but only time will tell! 17 days! :)

Oh and our stockings came in today! I personalized Ethan and mine and I'll do the baby's once we know what "it" is! If I haven't told everyone yet, Tayler will be her name if she is a girl and Parker will be his name if he's a boy! :) He/she is having a stocking this year! We want them included in everything already hehe :)

And Ethan called and decided to cook me dinner tonight--- hamburger gravy, mashed potatoes, and corn. He knows how much I just LOVE that. He was such a man cooking it too, haha... drinking a beer, cooking away. It was so so yummy too!

And here I am waiting... LOL

It was a good, Fall day-- just like I like it! COLD! :) It's supposed to warm back up starting tomorrow--- which I'm not thrilled about, haha. I hate the heat-- ugh. LOL I don't like to complain and I probably sound oh so weird, but I'm a fall/winter kind of girl. They make me happy :) So lets get here fall and STAY here!

Project 365: Day 305- October 1st

This would be my lovely set-up this morning on our NEW COUCH/BED :) I just love it! Place for my drink-- area for my book stuff, pumpkin cookies from Kat, and my laptop :) Amazing set-up haha!

And after working on my book for awhile, I decided it was time to paint some circles for the baby's room!

So much fun and so so relaxing! And it was just a crafts kind of day, let me tell you! Ethan went fishing and I sat down and worked a bit on the baby's scrapbook :)

This is the page with the card and letter from my Mom (or Gigi-- what the baby will call her hehe)

My favorite scrapbook page thus far! :) 6 weeks pregnant!

And after working on my scrapbook for awhile, it was time for Ethan and I to paint our pumpkins!!

Here's Ethan steadily working:

And here's our final products! (The front)

Mine is on the left and Ethan's is on the right hehe! And here are the backs:

(Ethan's is on the left, mine is on the right)

We had such a fun night! We turned on spooky music on youtube and just had a great time hehe! I couldn't quit smiling :) And we seriously went to bed at 840PM last night-- on a Friday night. I think that qualifies us permission to enter the old foagies club haha!

Cheers to Project 365!

Project 365: Day 304- September 30th

I woke up this morning and guess what?? I was 13 weeks pregnant and OFFICIALLY in my 2nd Trimester! Oh, it was good to see that! So, so relieving!! :) I'm already so in love with this little bundle of joy it's insane, hehe! Here's a shot of my tummy without the shirt:

We love you sweetie!

After getting up and getting some breakfast (and feeling somewhat normal) I met my mom at Hobby Lobby so she could pick up some things for work and I wanted to grab some things to start painting for the baby's room. We're going to do a black and white polka dot theme and then once we find out what "it" is, we're going to add some blue/pink accents! I'm so excited about it! Here are all of the supplies I purchased :)

Bought tons of wood circles, paint brushes, a tape measure, ribbon, glue, black/white paint, paint for our pumpkins we are painting Friday night, and glitter glue so I can write our names on our stockings for Christmas :) (I know, I plan ahead haha!)

And after we had a yummy lunch at Wendys, I headed home and immediately got started painting. I was too excited to wait :)

And there's one circle after first painting it... and here's what it looked like after it dried. I think all systems are go for me to keep painting circles, hehe!

I'm so excited to see how it all comes together :)

And of course, here's a picture of the proud momma painting it:

And then finally Ethan got home and after we ate some yummy dinner (salads with chili, cheese, tomatos, and taco chips.. mmm) we headed to Walmart to pick up our NEW BED! Oh, I cannot explain to you how excited we were. It's a futon, but it's much better than the bed contraption we were once sleeping on LOL Here's the futon during the day:

And at night time after I've added the fitted sheet, blanket, and comforter:

We are SO SO in love! And SO SO happy :) I am so thankful! Good night's sleep.. here we come :)

And we were in bed at 840 PM last night, haha! I swear... we're getting old LOL

Cheers to Project 365!
