19 Weeks Pregnant!

We are 19 WEEKS pregnant today! According to our little chart-- we have 147 days until my due date and 126 days until I am 37 weeks and full term! Tayler came at 39 weeks on the dot... lets see what happens with Sawyer!

I cannot believe we are only 7 days away from being half way there! Everyone always says, 'Everyone's pregnancies always fly by, but your own pregnancy seems to just drag.' That was the case with Tayler, but not the case with Sawyer at all! It is FLYING. I know the further along I get (and the larger I get haha) it will probably start slowing down, but thankfully the holidays are making it just speed by!

According to our 'What To Expect' App, baby Sawyer is the size of a large mango. She is approximately 6.5" long and approximately 10 ounces according to those experts ;) Good thing we have an ultrasound tomorrow so we can see if that's accurate at all! :) I am so anxious. My friend (that's due the same day as me no less) said it perfectly when she said you feel like a little kid the night before Christmas when you're waiting to go to an ultrasound!!! :) What's even better is that Ethan got time off work to go with us! YAY for Daddy being able to see Sawyer girl!

We have had a pretty great week this week! I have been drinking a lot more liquids and haven't had ANY contractions whatsoever! YAY :) We are also getting ready to get started on Sawyer's room. Poor girl wouldn't have any where to live if she came right now, haha! We were talking the other night about how I had Tayler's room completely decorated at this point, haha! Sawyer's is just taking a little more work... we have to clean the room out! LOL! But that's what the rest of this week is going to be used for. We are painting two walls in her room a deep royal purple and leaving the other two white. She has a black crib with a black/white polka dotted ruffle bottom. It's going to be deep royal purple with black and white accents! I can't wait to share the finished product :)

Alright, now for a belly picture!

Sawyer is getting so active. I am feeling her kicks and movements frequently-- and Ethan even got to feel one the other night! She's a tough cookie ;) I have craved honey mustard all week from Steak n Shake. I seriously want some RIGHT NOW, haha! I dip a burger in it and it's amazing!

So that's our 19 week wrap up! Now for some questions!

How far along? 19 weeks
Total Weight Gain?  As of my last check up (last Tuesday), it was 6.2 pounds!
Maternity Clothes?  A few! Some are still too baggy, but some of the shirts fit better than my regular shirts.
Stretch Marks? I think I might have saw a new one, but I guess that goes with the territory sometimes!
Sleep? Wonderful this week! I have been extremely tired by the end of the day so when I'm out, I'm out, haha!
Best Moment of This Week:  Ethan getting to feel her kick!
Miss Anything?  Not really this week! :)
Movement? Oh yes!! She is getting to be quite the active little lady!
Food Cravings? Honey Mustard
Anything Make You Queasy/Sick?  I watched an episode of 'Bones' this week while eating and got completely grossed out, hahaha!
Gender: GIRL!! :) Our Sawyer Kellylynn.
Labor Signs? No thank the Lord! :)
Symptoms: Nausea. Peeing a lot.
Belly Button In or Out? She's an innie!
Weddings Rings On Or Off? On for now! :)
Happy or Moody this week? Very happy! :)
Looking Forward To:  We have an ultrasound tomorrow morning to see her! Can't wait! In Jesus name, all will be well and she will be healthy!

Happy 19 weeks.. on to our half way point!!!

18 Weeks Pregnant!

We are....

18 WEEKS PREGNANT!!!!

Yes. In 14 whole days we will be half way through this pregnancy already, folks! Astonishing. It's flying. (I know, I know.. I say this every week, but it honestly is.)

It's been kind of a 'trying' week. I don't know if trying is the exact word I'm looking for, but, I started having contractions Monday. They were sporadic.. one every 5 hours or so. Nothing I was concerned about because I read about where you can have braxton hicks even at 18 weeks pregnant... and especially with your 2nd, 3rd, 4th, etc. baby. Well, then  Tuesday comes along and they become a little more frequent in the evening. I tried not to think about it, but they were hard to ignore. So, I scheduled a doctor's appointment early Wednesday morning so we could check and see what was going on :) I just have to say that I have the best OB ever. As soon as I went back for my examination, he asked me what was going on, how I was feeling, etc. A nurse practitioner did my examination on my cervix, uterus, and we heard the baby's heartbeat (because my doctor was already busy with scheduled appointments.) The NP said my uterus was measuring PERFECTLY for May 8th, 2013. And Sawyer's heartbeat was strong and healthy. Such a good feeling! She also said my cervix was thick and closed.... thank God! She said she thinks what's happening is I'm working all evening doing photo sessions (4PM-7:30/8PM sometimes) and not drinking any water-- which I'm not as guilty as I feel about that :( I just get side tracked and don't think about it when I'm doing back to back sessions. So, she thinks I'm doing too much with not enough water.. and then when I settle in at night time, the contractions start. So her and my doctor told me to PUMP that water in! I feel bad I was so negligent about it, but sometimes when you're busy, you just don't think about it. But I did much better yesterday and I am already almost done with 1 bottle of water this morning. After I came out from my exam, my doctor was standing there asking me what we figured out, etc. I love that I have a doctor that cares about his patients. He sees so many women on a day to day basis, but that he took the time to ask me how I was feeling, how the baby was, etc. just reminds me why I LOVED having him for my daughter. He's so caring! Makes a momma's heart jump when she knows her baby is already loved and she isn't even here yet! :)

So, all is well with Sawyer girl and it was so refreshing to hear her heartbeat. Although she's more active.. it's still not something constant that you can rely on. I just love hearing that washing-machine sound, hehe! A relieving sound.

So what else is going on in week 18?

Huge craving for tomatoes. It was insane. Covered in black pepper. They were delicious but gave me some serious heartburn every night, haha! It's a two-edged sword with cravings, let me tell you LOL

Starting to really round out in the belly area. I.. well, instead of explaining it, I'll just share a picture!

I know my shirt is lifted up in the back, darn it, haha! I didn't realize it until everything was done and I wasn't about to reattempt taking the picture again LOL!! :) But that's my 18 week belly. Really starting to look pregnant and REALLY getting questions about it now from people that don't know I'm pregnant! :) I was at Walmart the other day and was going to the bathroom and two girls walked past me and said, 'AWWWW Look at that baby bump!!!' Makes me feel good that I don't get looks like 'Quit eating all of the doughnuts' anymore, haha!

Okay, and now for the questions that we all know and love ;)

How far along? 18 weeks
Total Weight Gain?  As of my last check up (last Tuesday), it was 6.2 pounds!
Maternity Clothes? I am wearing some now. The shirts are a bit comfier ;) And still the lovely belly band with my prepreggo jeans.
Stretch Marks? I think I might have saw a new one, but I guess that goes with the territory sometimes!
Sleep? Wonderful this week! I dream a crazy ton of dreams every night, but still sleeping wonderfully!
Best Moment of This Week:  Feeling Sawyer a lot stronger and getting to hear her heartbeat. Sucky reason to be able to do that, but it was still refreshing!
Miss Anything?  Hmmm! Maybe just wearing a few of the shirts I love. My belly hangs out now in them lol!
Movement? Yes, yes!! I can just be sitting up working at the computer now and feel them :) It's such an amazing feeling!
Food Cravings? Tomatoes.
Anything Make You Queasy/Sick? Dirty dishes. Poopy diapers. The smell of pee-pee.
Gender: GIRL!! :) Our Sawyer Kellylynn.
Labor Signs? Thought so, but thank the Lord---no!
Symptoms: Nausea. Peeing a lot.
Belly Button In or Out? She's an innie!
Weddings Rings On Or Off? On for now! :)
Happy or Moody this week? Very happy! :)
Looking Forward To:  Our next ultrasound next Thursday morning to make sure she's still a girl!!!

Happy 18 weeks... (and for Sawyer being the size of a mango: 6 in., half a pound estimated) ....... on to 19 weeks!!

Almost half way there!!

17 Weeks Pregnant!

We are 17 weeks pregnant today, folks! According to my nifty 'What to Expect' App, baby girl Sawyer is the size of a sweet potato this week :) She is measuring in at approximately 5.5" long and 5oz. I'm going to venture to say she's probably a bit longer than that considering 3 weeks ago she was already 5" but who knows! :) We will find out soon more accurate measurements.. but more about that later! :)

Alright, now for a belly picture!

I honestly felt Sawyer EXTREMELY well for the first time this week :) It was amazing! It just feels like these little pokes, but oh my word, it's wonderful. Feeling Tayler kick and move was my favorite part of pregnancy and I am so thankful I get to do this all over again. I have been thinking about pregnancy a lot the past few days. There are certain parts of it that I absolutely dread (getting my blood drawn, cervix checks, reduction of my coffee intake, watching what I eat... haha) but do you know how many women out there probably wish they could have that experience? I know there are so many women out there that would love to take the good with the bad... and be pregnant... and have a little one. I am so thankful that God has blessed my husband and I with bodies that can create children. That He designed my body to be able to carry children. I know I am SO blessed.... even in the midst of the stuff that I don't exactly look forward to. Because I DO get to look forward to the kicks, the pokes, holding them, cuddling them. Thank You Jesus for that blessing and please allow me to always see it as such!

And speaking of things I dread LOL.. I am STILL nauseous every morning LOL!! I don't know what it is with my girls, but they don't like me having smooth mornings, haha!! I threw up with Tayler until the very end. Now, I don't always vomit in the mornings with Sawyer, but I am still extremely nauseous every time I open my eyes in the morning, LOL :) God love them! I just know it's a nice little sign when I can't feel her that she's just letting me know all is well :)

On another note, we had our 16/17 week doctor appointment yesterday. Thankfully it was a routine appointment-- weight, blood pressure, and hearing that sweet heartbeat!! :) Doctor Wehrum said everything looks and sounds healthy-- and we scheduled our gender scan for December 13th. We went to Ultrasona and found out early that we are having another girl, but it will be still be nice to reconfirm that through another ultrasound and see how our sweet little one is growing!! :)

Okay, now for the questions I'm sure you have all been waiting on ;) HAHA!

How far along? 17 weeks
Total Weight Gain?  As of yesterday, I have gained 6.2 pounds. My doctor said that is wonderful and I'm doing excellent! Lets hope I can keep up this weight gain. I thought it was going to be terrible when I went in there yesterday, haha!
Maternity Clothes? I am wearing some now. The shirts are a bit comfier ;)
Stretch Marks? As I said last time, I'm not really sure? I had some with Tayler, but I don't see any new ones. I lather my belly in cocoa butter in hopes it will help this time!
Sleep? Alright! I have had sinus headaches the past few days and they are making sleep rough! :(
Best Moment of This Week:  Feeling Sawyer and hearing her heartbeat!!
Miss Anything?  COFFEE. I don't typically indulge in it being pregnant... maybe a cup here or there, but I miss having my like 6 or 7 cups a day. OOPS. That's bad, right? haha!
Movement? Feeling some pokes here and there! Usually when I'm laying down or something cold is on my tummy :)
Food Cravings? Japanese Steakhouse. Still haven't fixed that craving yet. Too dang expensive, haha!
Anything Make You Queasy/Sick? Dirty dishes. Poopy diapers. The smell of pee-pee.
Gender: GIRL!! :) Our Sawyer Kellylynn.
Labor Signs? No way! Thank God!
Symptoms: Nausea. Peeing a lot. Sore boobies!
elly Button In or Out? She's an innie!
Weddings Rings On Or Off? On for now! :)
Happy or Moody this week? Very happy! :)
Looking Forward To:  CHRISTMAS!!!

Happy 17 weeks... on to 18 weeks! :)

16 Weeks Pregnant! :)

We are 4 months pregnant today. 16 weeks. Schoo! It's been 3 months since we announced we were pregnant with number 2. :) I think it's flying because of the holidays, photo sessions, and having an almost 20-month old running around here. She definitely keeps me on my toes! As she was running back and forth through our living room screaming at the top of her lungs for fun last night, Ethan and I started realizing that in 1.5 years, we'll have two of those monsters doing it ;) And we were pretty excited just thinking about it. A three year old and a one year old... how will we manage ;) haha! I am so excited. I find myself day-dreaming about it. How will Sawyer look? Is she going to look identical to Tayler or will they be complete opposites? Is she going to be ornery, stubborn, and rotten like her big sister? Or will she be mellow and laid back? haha! I guess it's completely up in the air, but I am SO excited to find out one day... in about 24 weeks :)

Well, I guess technically we have 21-24 weeks depending on when Sawyer decides she wants to make her grand appearance. Tayler graced us with her presence at 39 weeks on the dot (although my water broke at 38 weeks 6 days.) We'll see what Sawyer is going to do. I can't wait to find out when her birthday will be! Such a big part of a person's life... and we have no idea what day she will be celebrating on! I remember thinking about Tayler's birthday... wondering when it would be. Gets me all giddy inside! I LOVE being pregnant :)

So how's 16 weeks treating us?? Pretty good! Want to see a belly shot? Of course!

That's our Sawyer girl (Daddy's new nick name for her! We've got our Tayler Bug and our Sawyer Girl. I LOVE it.)

I felt FLUTTERS this week. Yes, indeed! I felt my little one poking around a bit ;) Such a relieving feeling. Even though, with still throwing up every morning, I figured our little one was growing and remaining pretty active, haha! Morning sickness goes away after your first trimester my booty ;) LOL! I am starting to feel better during the days however, so I guess that's certainly a plus! PLUS, I know being nauseous just means everything is alright and I'm perfectly okay with that.

We found out Sawyer isn't a HUGE fan of spicy things this week, which is weird because Tayler always was. I rarely ever got heartburn with Tayler (only towards the very end) but I have it with Sawyer all the time.... but especially if I eat something spicy... which is all of the time! My number one go-to meals are a Spicy Chicken sandwich from Wendys, chips and salsa from Tla Que Paque, or a Southwest Chipotle Steak and Cheese sub from Subway. Yum! I could go for any of those right now, haha, but unfortunately, I pay for it the rest of the night if I do indulge LOL :) Sawyer is more of a mashed potatoes, bread and butter type of girl.. thank God Thanksgiving is here ;)

Alright, time for those weekly questions, folks!

How far along? 16 weeks
Total Weight Gain? Last time I checked it was 4.2 pounds.
Maternity Clothes? Nope, just a belly band!
Stretch Marks? As I said last time, I'm not really sure? I had some with Tayler, but I don't see any new ones. I lather my belly in cocoa butter in hopes it will help this time!
Sleep? Much better sleep this week than the past few weeks! No nightmares or insomnia, bless God, haha!
Best Moment of This Week:  Feeling flutters. Makes it even more real that we are having another sweet baby!
Miss Anything?  Pop. For some reason it's been a killer for me this week. I just want a big ol' Dr. Pepper. I'm not saying all pregnant woman shouldn't have pop while they're pregnant. Just something I choose not to do, but boy, I have wanted one of those suckas' this week, haha!
Movement? Some flutters and pokes here and there. Nothing consistent, but it's sporadic and I love it!
Food Cravings? Spicy Chicken Sandwich from Wendys, chips and salsa from Tla Que Paque, and Southwest Chipotle Steak Subs from Suwbay!
Anything Make You Queasy/Sick? Dirty dishes. Poopy diapers. The smell of pee-pee.
Gender: It's a GIRL.
Labor Signs? No way! Thank God!
Symptoms: Nausea. Peeing a lot. Sore boobies!
elly Button In or Out? She's an innie!
Weddings Rings On Or Off? On for now! :)
Happy or Moody this week? Happy! I LOVE the Holidays!!!
Looking Forward To:  Getting to hear the heartbeart Tuesday at our doctor appointment :)

Happy 16 weeks.. on to 17!!

15 Weeks Pregnant!

We are at 15 weeks pregnant! Crazy isn't it?? :) Hard to believe we are almost 4 months in to this pregnancy. Feels like it is just flying by.

Here's our 15 weeks shot:

She's poking out there, eh? :)

And here's one with my shirt down over my belly. I told everyone I thought it looked MUCH cuter like that, hehe!

It just pokes right out there, haha! I LOOOOVE it :) And guess what?? I have already been asked by BRAVE, BRAVE, BRAVE souls if I am expecting. I say brave because, well, I don't have that big of a belly right now and the chances of me being pregnant to me just having a belly on me are pretty good at this point, haha! But fortunately for them I said, yes I am. I am almost 4 months. I could see a sigh of relief like 'Oh, I shouldn't have asked that question, but thank God she is expecting!' LOL :)

I am so excited that we know we are having a girl! We have been busy planning her nursery this week.. and planning big sister Tayler's new BIG GIRL room ;) We bought Tayler a toddler bed for Christmas with a Yo Gabba Gabba comforter/sheets set. So, after Christmas, we are going to start on her big girl room. My mom is making her Yo Gabba Gabba curtains and I purchased some cling-on giant Yo Gabba Gabba characters for her wall.. and Ethan is building her a cubby for her books, diapers, etc. It's going to be painted Yo Gabba Gabba colors :) I am SO excited.

And then once we get Tayler's big girl room at least started and her bed up, we can move the crib in to Sawyer's nursery. I think we have settled on a purple room for her with black and white accents. I've been working on some things for her wall. I am just so excited to get started and see the outcome of it all :) Lots to do after Christmas! January will be redoing both girl's rooms; February will be planning Tayler's 2nd birthday; March is my birthday, my dad's birthday, my sister's birthday, then Tayler's birthday party; April is Ethan's birthday, and then I'll be full term April 17th. Crazy right?? I feel like it's going to fly with all of the stuff we have to do!

Alright. And now for the questions:

How far along? 15 weeks
Sleep?  I swear I am getting pregnancy insomnia. It was awful this past week, haha, but MUCH better last night!
Best Moment of This Week:  We found out we are having another gorgeous baby girl!
Miss Anything?  Not having to cover my belly every time I am around Tayler, haha! That girl is WILD and I'm so scared she's going to hit my belly in some way lol
Movement? You're probably going to look at me like I'm crazy but I felt FLUTTERS this week. It was when my pants were kind of tight and I had my knees up against my chest. I could feel fluttering like she wasn't a fan! :)
Food Cravings? Hmmmm. Pot Roast!
Anything Make You Queasy/Sick? Dirty dishes. Poopy diapers. The smell of pee-pee.
Gender: It's a GIRL.
Labor Signs? No way! Thank God!
Symptoms: Nausea. Peeing a lot. Sore boobies!
Belly Button In or Out? She's an innie!
Weddings Rings On Or Off? On for now! :)
Happy or Moody this week?  Happy! We found out we are having a girl and my brother got married Saturday! Beautiful week!
Looking Forward To:  Thanksgiving next week with our families!

Cheers to 15 weeks... on to 16 weeks!

We Are Having A..........................

Yesterday was

ULTRASOUND DAY!!

That's right, folks.

My brother got married on Saturday in Dublin. It was a gorgeous wedding. I am so thankful that I have a new sister-in-law :) We had SO much fun. I think we were all worn out every night we were there from all of the activities, haha! :)

And we figured since we were already up near Columbus, we would just schedule an ultrasound at Ultrasona so we could find out 'who' the baby was early! I know.. I know.. most people wait until like 18-20 weeks, but you must not know about me. I don't have patience, haha! :)

I almost HAD to have patience though!

We got there and headed back to the ultrasound room. My mom, dad, brother Brad, Tayler, and Ethan were with me. Everyone got settled on the couch and the ultrasound technician started looking at the baby. We got some great shots of the baby. They were moving around like crazy though. It was hilarious.

He/she had their hands up by their ears in this one :)  Adorable!

The ultrasound technician did some measurements because the baby wasn't really cooperating to let us know what gender it was. They kept their feet tucked up under them in an indian style almost the entire time, haha! We found out during measurements though that the baby is 5" long and weights about 4-5 ounces. Such a wittle thing!

I felt so bad for the ultrasound technician, haha! She kept trying to get the baby to move it's feet but they just were not having it. I got up and walked around... jumped a little. NOTHING, haha! They just kept their feet under their booty. I honestly thought we weren't going to be able to find out. Finally, the ultrasound technician offered one last resort...

She said, 'You can do an internal ultrasound since the baby is breeched and we should be able to get a better view of the bottom.' I hadn't had one of these done before, so I was a little skeptical, but I was also desperate, haha! So everyone cleared the room so we could get set up. She started the ultrasound, everyone came in, and IMMEDIATELY she got pictures of WHO our baby was.

Are you ready?? :)

Any guesses??? BOY OR GIRL???

It's a......................................

GIRL.

Can you believe it?? :)

I think everyone was shocked because like 90% of the people I polled.. including my husband and my mother.. thought it was going to be a boy, but I just had this gut feeling it was a girl :) We are SOOO happy to be adding another baby girl to our family. I know our sweet Tayler is going to be a great big sister.

We have decided on her name as well :)

Sawyer (pronounced SAW-yer NOT Soy-yer lol) Kellylynn. (We are using Kelly/Lynn because my mom's middle name is Kelly and Ethan's mom's middle name is Lynn and we wanted to combine them as opposed to her having two middle names!)

We are SO thrilled and we hope you are too! Thanks for joining us on this journey :) 22-25 weeks left to go! :)

14 Weeks Pregnant

Today, we are 14 weeks 1 day pregnant!

Does it seem like it's kind of flying to anyone else?? It's crazy to think that when Christmas gets here, we'll be half way through already! It's even more crazy to think that it's been almost 3 months since we announced we were pregnant! UNREAL.

Here's a 14 week shot.

You HAVE to love bathroom mirror pics, right? haha! :) It's really starting to protrude out there. I love seeing that bump forming!

And that's our traditional weekly picture!

What does it say this week?

Still sick every single morning. Not sure if you the memo, kiddo, but 2nd trimester means no more sickness LOL

Only 5 days until we know what YOU are (4 DAYS TODAY!!)

We have been debating your name again this week. It's a huge deal... you'll have it forever. We just want it to fit!

You're really starting to pop out there. I'm just anxious to feel you kick now!

Had a craving for Japanese Steakhouse salad this week. Nothing like it!

I am battling nightmares with this pregnancy just like I did with Tayler. Weird things like plane crashes, etc.

Crazy what hormones do! LOL

And yes.. lets talk about hormones, shall we??

I've been plagued this week with disgusting pregnancy issues HAHA!!

So, first of all.. I had a HUGE boil on my head. Well, let me back up. At first, I didn't know it was a boil. It felt like a goose egg (like I'd hit my head extremely hard) but I didn't remember doing that. It hurt so bad I could hardly sleep at night. Ethan told me he was starting to get worried because of how bad it was hurting me and he thought I should make a doctor's appointment. Well, lo and behold.. it was a boil. I've never had one before so I didn't know what they looked like or how they felt. The good thing was that all I had to do was put warm compresses on it and let me tell you-- it cleared up after 2 days of doing that! I wanted to pop it so bad, but he said there's a risk of infection doing that and that is dangerous especially being pregnant, so warm compresses and neosporin it was! And it healed up so nicely! Apparently pregnant women are susceptible to them because their immune systems are low. I had no idea! But it's fixed now and I'm finally getting a good night's sleep again! :)

Another thing was, I went to the dentist yesterday and he told me I have 'pregnancy gingivitis.' He said MANY pregnant women get it. Your gums swell and bleed easily. You just need to go to routine cleanings and make sure you're brushing and flossing daily. So, CHECK on that! :) Had my routine cleaning yesterday and I ALWAYS brush my teeth at least 2-3x a day. Now, I just need to remind myself to floss! *smacks head* I hate doing that, haha!

Other than that whole mess of stuff, I'd say it's been a pretty good week! I am not as sick through the day time anymore which is nice, but still extremely sick every morning which I know has something to do with not eating all night. I battled it with Tayler too. I forget every night to bring snacks upstairs with me to eat before I get out of bed! I'm just in such a hurry to actually get to bed, I forget, haha!

Alright-- now for the questions!

How far along? 14 weeks
Total Weight Gain?  Probably 2-4lbs.
Maternity Clothes? Nope, just a belly band!
Stretch Marks? As I said last time, I'm not really sure? I had some with Tayler, but I don't see any new ones. I lather my belly in cocoa butter in hopes it will help this time!
Sleep? It wasn't so great this week!
Best Moment of This Week:  We made it to the 2nd trimester :)
Miss Anything? No heartburn and not throwing up every morning, haha!
Movement? Nothing I can feel! I'm sure they are boogeying down there though ;)
Food Cravings? Japanese steakhouse salads and dressing!
Anything Make You Queasy/Sick? Dirty dishes. Poopy diapers. The smell of pee-pee.
Gender: 4 days and we will know! How exciting is that!!

August 13th Journal Prompt: Anger.

The journal prompt of the day is: How do you deal with your anger? I bottle a lot of my emotions up inside. If I feel anger- it may show on...
