Project 366: Day 33 [March 20th]

Goooood morning my sweet friends out there! :) Don't you love gorgeous, sunshine-y mornings? I do! And I especially love mornings when there are packages on my front door step, haha! It was a Scentsy package, of course! We are preparing to re-do our office after we get the upstairs finished and we are painting it like a baby-blue color with black and white accents, so we purchased a black and white warmer to go along with it and I bought a new Summer scent: Sunkissed Citrus! YAY :) I LOVE that scent and I can't wait for my house to smell like it, hehe!

Isn't that a gorgeous warmer? *sigh* I just love it!

Then Tayler and I packed up our blanket, toys, and water and we went outside to sit for a little while. I hate to keep her inside when it is so beautiful out! This is the first summer that she can really, truly enjoy the gorgeous weather. Okay-- scratch that, I'm getting ahead of my self, haha! It FEELS like Summer but surely isn't! ;) Since today was the first day of SPRING! But it was a beautiful 80 degrees today.. and we basked in it :)

Isn't she the cutest thing in the world? And hey- I was trying to get a tan, haha! This Momma wants to feel good about herself this Summer! Last Summer, I had just had Tayler and I hid myself behind a one piece.. this year I am attempting to say BRING ON THE BIKINI, hahahaha! We'll see how that goes! :) I took a few more pictures of Tayler too! She's too cute not to ;)

She's just too precious. We had an absolute blast!

Then we went down to our old town that we used to live in and Ethan purchased a new truck :) We have been needing one to fix some things around the house and our two cars just won't cut it, haha! So, thank God for His blessings... He had received one! God is good to us!

Isn't it beautiful? :)

And then we finally had some alone time together as a family! Ethan was playing with Tayler for hours it seemed like! It was just adorable! And while Ethan was getting a shower, Tayler and I had some more alone time :) I LOVE my family and I LOVE these precious moments!!

We had a wonderful first day of Spring together :)

And now for our prayer today:

Pray that your husband will be a good father—disciplining his children wisely and loving them unconditionally. If he is not a father, pray that he will find a young man to mentor in the things of the Lord. (Eph. 6:4; Col. 3:21; 2 Tim. 2:1-2)
(Source)

And the Bible scriptures that go along with this are as follows:

Ephesians 6:4 (The Message) Fathers, don't exasperate your children by coming down hard on them. Take them by the hand and lead them in the way of the Master.

Colossians 3:21 (The Message) Parents, don't come down too hard on your children or you'll crush their spirits.

2 Timothy 2:1-2 (The Message) So, my son, throw yourself into this work for Christ. Pass on what you heard from me—the whole congregation saying Amen!— to reliable leaders who are competent to teach others. When the going gets rough, take it on the chin with the rest of us, the way Jesus did.

Dear Jesus, Thank You for Ethan and all that he does for our family! I ask that You bless him in every single are of his life. I ask that You bless him as a father and help him to be wise in his decision making with all of our children both now and in the future. Help him to love them unconditionally and be a positive role model. Help us both to work together for Your kingdom and be the best parents we can be. Please give us wisdom.. Your wisdom. We love You Lord! In Your Name, Amen!!

God bless you all

and cheers to Project 366!!

Project 366: Day 32 [March 19th]

It was such a Summer-y day out today and I was so excited for Tayler to wear this cute little outfit. It has strawberries all over it and oh my word, she is just too adorable in it!

Doesn't she look just ornery? Oh believe me, haha, she is! :) We went outside for a little bit and enjoyed Mother Nature, we saw Gigi for a bit, and then we came back inside. And wouldn't you know it, when we came inside I smelled 'something.' All of you parents know what I mean, right? Yea.. I smelled STINK, haha! I checked Tayler and sure enough, she had pottyed, but I'm not just talking a normal potty... this was explosive pottying and yes, the cute little strawberry outfit was 'ruined' for the moment.

And thus, outfit #2 was placed upon her, haha! She's so ornery, but she still looked absolutely adorable!

I just adore that little girl. She is my whole entire world.

After that, we ran some errands with Daddy. We had to stop and pick up some pictures at Sam's Club. When E bought my new camera, we earned 75 free prints with it! How cool is that? And so, we ordered a bunch of wallets to share with our friends and family on the day of her 1st Birthday :)

Plus I got some for some picture frames and a photo album. YAY! :) I love having photo albums of her, hehe! I can't wait to share them with everyone!

Then we made a pit stop to pick up some Black Refried Beans. I purchased regular refried beans at the store on Saturday, but my husband is a particular fan of black beans and that's ALL he wanted for our taco dip, hehe :) Then he picked up some things at Lowes and then he met a man off of Craigslist and FINALLY bought a mower! I can't believe we're actually having to mow our grass this early in the year! When I gave birth to Tayler in March last year, it was snowing the day I went into labor! Insane, right?? haha! But here's E and the mower he bought. Not a bad deal either!

and yes, he mowed the grass right after that too, haha! He was SO excited! :) While he was mowing, I was making 'Taco Dip.' Remember I told y'all that sometimes we have an 'appetizer day?' Welllll, today was one of those days! Ethan has been talking about this taco dip for weeks, so I got to it! If you don't remember, I already posted about this recipe a few weeks ago, so if you are interested in it, just click the link HERE to read more :) Hope you enjoy!

It was SO good. I think Tayler agreed too, haha! I gave her some with a tortilla because I get nervous when she eats tortilla chips, haha and duuuuude, it was everywhere, but she was REALLY enjoying it! She loves her some sour cream! And so does E so I know where she gets it!!

I used to mind the mess, but not so much anymore. I know I can just throw her in the tub and she's clean again. And that's exactly what we did. But seriously, my kid is hilarious. I throw her in the tub and we have the kind of drain plug that you can pull up  and she does it almost every single time. So, sometimes her baths only last like 5 minutes... or as long as it takes for her to figure out it's there again, hahahaha! She is just too funny. So, I took this picture of her so A) you could see her crazy hair and B) so you could see there's NO water in the tub, bahaha! She's hilarious!

But guess what? She got all cleaned off and that's what matters!! :)

Then GUESS WHAT TIME IT WAS.

Pretty Little Liars time.

Oh yes, my friends. Tonight was the overly-talked about 'A-Day.' We were finding out who had been sending the girls all of the threatening texts. I had on my hoodie, sweatpants, and a yummy bowl of Fruity Pebbles. I was prepared!

And I'll be honest, I was a little disappointed with the finale. I think I was disappointed because it was a 'give-me.' I figured it was Mona, but I thought for sure they would twist something you know? It was the finale for goodness sake, but really, it was just kind of boring. I think they talked it up so much that they couldn't deliver that. I don't know. Maybe I'm being a bit harsh. I love the show, I just wanted 'more' I suppose. What did you all think? The good news is that June 5th they are coming back! Do you think Ali is still alive and that was her in the red coat?

After that, we cuddled up and watched 'GCB' from Sunday night. I just love that show! Those women are absolutely hilarious, haha! And some of that stuff is seriously so legit, haha! Do any of you watch 'GCB?'

Hope you all had a wonderful day!

And the prayer of the day is:

Pray that your husband will practice forgiveness in your relationship and with others. Pray that he will recognize any roots of bitterness, and yield any resentment and unforgiving attitudes to the Lord. (Eph. 4:32; Heb. 12:15)

And the Bible scriptures that go along with this are as follows:

Ephesians 4:31-32 (The Message) Make a clean break with all cutting, backbiting, profane talk. Be gentle with one another, sensitive. Forgive one another as quickly and thoroughly as God in Christ forgave you.

Hebrews 12:14-17 (The Message) Work at getting along with each other and with God. Otherwise you'll never get so much as a glimpse of God. Make sure no one gets left out of God's generosity. Keep a sharp eye out for weeds of bitter discontent. A thistle or two gone to seed can ruin a whole garden in no time. Watch out for the Esau syndrome: trading away God's lifelong gift in order to satisfy a short-term appetite. You well know how Esau later regretted that impulsive act and wanted God's blessing—but by then it was too late, tears or no tears.

Dear God, thank You for the gift of Ethan. Please just bless him today. Help him to have a wonderful day in You. He deserves it, Lord. He does so much sacrificing for our family. Please just help him with his job and bless him in it. Help Ethan to have forgiveness both in our relationship and in other relationships. Help him to not hold grudges towards individuals, but to release those and be free of that burden. Let him notice if he has bitterness in his heart and help him to let go of that as well. I pray that he finds forgiveness in every situation. We love You, Lord and we thank You for everything!! In Your name, Amen!!

God bless you all

Project 366: Day 31 [March 18th]

Good morning all my blogger friends! :) Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend and of course, a fabulous Sunday! Let me tell you-- we slept WONDERFULLY Saturday night! We all crashed about 10:00PM. Tayler woke up at 4AM but went right back to sleep and didn't wake up again until 9AM. YESSS. If you do the math, that is 11 hours of sleep. HOLLA! haha! :) I needed it. And she must have too! We all got up and had our breakfast, then we got ready and went over to the ball field. It was Ethan's last week of practice, but they were having a 'scrimmage' with two different teams. I was excited to just get outside with Tayler because I know how much she loves it. I brought a few toys with us so she had something to play with, a big blanket.. we were set to go :)

And I will say that I think she looked adorable yesterday. She had a little hot pink skirt on with a little shirt and hot pink sandals. Adorable!

And then Papaw and Gigi came to visit for awhile :) Tayler enjoyed spending some time with them!

After that, I headed home to get a few things done around the house. I hate starting my Monday mornings with a pile of chores that need done. Anyone else feel that way? :) After I got that done, Ethan called me and told me he was on his way home and then we were off to our FAVORITE Mexican restaurant! We haven't been there in awhile, so I was super excited! We got the salsa as usual and I got the Fajita Chimichanga with steak. It's also served with rice, beans, lettuce, pico de gallo, sour cream, and queso sauce. YUM! :) We had such a good time and Tayler thinks Daddy is hilarious when he wears a hat, so she was playing with that for awhile yesterday :)

See that smile? She kept taking his hat off of his head, haha! :) It was just too precious! We had such a good time. I just love my family.

Once we got home, we got the stroller out and decided to take a walk around the neighborhood. It was too gorgeous out not to soak up a little more time outdoors :) And I thought these pictures were too cute. I love the one where all you can see is her little feet, haha!

She seriously LOVES being outside. I'm sure that's every kid though, haha! :) But we had so much fun on our walk!

When we got home, she must have been pretty worn out. We all got ready for bed and cuddled up on the couch for 'Once Upon a Time.' Anyone else out there enjoy that show? Tayler was a little bored... ;)

But SUPER cute and I think that's all that matters ;) hehe!

What did y'all think of this episode of 'Once Upon a Time?' I can't believe Mary Margaret escaped. That makes her look guilty even more, I think. And how odd that David is remembering his 'past life?' I can't wait to see what happens next week! :) I taped 'Desperate Housewives' and 'GCB' so I will write about those tomorrow after I watch them today :)

Hope everyone had a great day!

And now for our prayer today:

Pray that your husband will learn how to relax in the Lord and, in his greatest times of stress, find joy and peace in his relationship with God. Pray that he will submit his schedule to the Lord. (Neh. 8:10; Prov. 17:22; Ps. 16:11)

The scriptures that follow along with this prayer are as follows:

Nehemiah 8:10 (The Message) He continued, "Go home and prepare a feast, holiday food and drink; and share it with those who don't have anything: This day is holy to God. Don't feel bad. The joy of God is your strength!"

Proverbs 17:22 (The Message) A cheerful disposition is good for your health;
gloom and doom leave you bone-tired.

Psalms 16:11 (The Message) Now you've got my feet on the life path,
all radiant from the shining of your face. Ever since you took my hand,
      I'm on the right way.

Dear Jesus, Thank You for Ethan. Please just help him to relax when he has the time to. If there's anyone that deserves relaxation, it is my husband. Please give him the peace when it is needed. He works so hard and I know that he deserves to find rest. I love him so much and I would love if You could help keep him at peace. Thank You for everything you do for us! In Your name, Amen!

God bless you all

and cheers to Project 366!

Project 366: Day 30 [March 17th]

Ethan and I woke up this morning and it was so weird in our house. If you remember, Tayler spent the night with my parents Friday night, so it was REALLY quiet today! We came downstairs, enjoyed some coffee, and we watched 'Awake.' Anyone else enjoying that show? We taped it from Thursday and we just got a chance to watch it. What are you all thinking? Ethan and I sat here and debated this show for like ever as to what we think is going on. I think we only see what he is 'dreaming' and that both his wife and his son have passed away. Ethan thinks he is a coma and is trying to piece together what happened and he switches from his wife and his son being alive because that's who is in the room 'talking' to him. I'm not sure. What are your thoughts?

After that, we got ready and went to the grocery store to meet my momma and to pick up our sweet Tayler! We had missed her, let me tell you!! :) Gigi got her all dressed in her St. Patrick's Day outfit. This is her last first holiday. Crazy, right? :( But look how adorable she looked....

The orange was a tablecloth that she was holding, haha! I forgot one tablecloth for her birthday party.. go figure ;) We also picked up a few other things for her birthday party! I am SO excited. We officially have EVERYTHING but the cake and the punch made! Eeek! I just can't wait to see it all come together! :)

Once we got home, every time we opened the front door and then closed it, Tayler screamed, so we kind of figured that meant she wanted to go outside.. soo, we decided to take her down to the park and enjoy the outdoors before it started raining. You'll see by a few of the pictures that it was getting really cloudy!

Isn't she so pretty? Ethan and I are still messing around with the new camera and trying things out :) We have SO much fun with a camera in our hands, hehe! I love it! And Tayler is the perfect person to try the camera out on, you know? :)

When we got back inside, I think we were all starving, so I made a skillet meal we purchased at the store. This one was $3.98 but totally worth it! 4 bucks for all 3 of us to eat is just wonderful and much cheaper than going to a fast food joint!

These things are wonderful because all you do is turn it on medium-heat, cover, and cook for 12 minutes.. stirring occasionally! Little to no work and it tastes amazing!

You HAVE to love some Teryaki Chicken! :) Even Tayler enjoyed it and that says something, hehe! :)

Then I started like craving chocolate pudding. I bought some instant pudding at the store today and decided to make some. And since Tayler had just finished dinner, I decided to let her try it for the first time too. I guess, according to the pictures, you could say she loved it ;)

Oh yeah. It was nummy! :)

While we were eating, we watched 'Fast Five.' I bought all five of the Fast and the Furious movies for Ethan for his birthday. Now, his birthday isn't until April 10th, but they came a little early so I let him have them :) I'm a good wife, eh? ;)

Then we decided to sing Karaoke. We wanted to have some fun tonight and this just sounded perfect. Ethan was cracking me up singing Backstreet Boys... he did such a good job, haha! The pictures don't do his performance justice, honestly, haha!

Yes, he was having some fun, haha! :) We had such a good night and I hope all of you felt the same! :)

And now for our prayer today:

Pray that your husband will yield his mind and thoughts to the Lord. Pray that he will not entertain immoral or impure thoughts, and that he will resist the temptation to indulge in pornography. (Prov. 27:12; 2 Cor. 10:5)
(Source)

And the Bible verses that go along with this prayer are as follows:

Proverbs 27:12 (The Message) A prudent person sees trouble coming and ducks;
a simpleton walks in blindly and is clobbered.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (The Message) The world is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren't for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.

Dear Jesus, thank You for Ethan and the blessing he has been to my life. I just pray that You will guard his mind. Guard it from the temptations that this world throws at him. Please let him have pure thoughts of the things that please You. I rebuke the temptation of impureness and pornography. Let him stand strong in You and what You stand for. We love You Lord and we thank You for everything that You do for us!! In Your name, Amen!

God bless you all

and cheers to Project 366!

August 13th Journal Prompt: Anger.

The journal prompt of the day is: How do you deal with your anger? I bottle a lot of my emotions up inside. If I feel anger- it may show on...
