Project 366: Day 30 [March 17th]

Ethan and I woke up this morning and it was so weird in our house. If you remember, Tayler spent the night with my parents Friday night, so it was REALLY quiet today! We came downstairs, enjoyed some coffee, and we watched 'Awake.' Anyone else enjoying that show? We taped it from Thursday and we just got a chance to watch it. What are you all thinking? Ethan and I sat here and debated this show for like ever as to what we think is going on. I think we only see what he is 'dreaming' and that both his wife and his son have passed away. Ethan thinks he is a coma and is trying to piece together what happened and he switches from his wife and his son being alive because that's who is in the room 'talking' to him. I'm not sure. What are your thoughts?

After that, we got ready and went to the grocery store to meet my momma and to pick up our sweet Tayler! We had missed her, let me tell you!! :) Gigi got her all dressed in her St. Patrick's Day outfit. This is her last first holiday. Crazy, right? :( But look how adorable she looked....

The orange was a tablecloth that she was holding, haha! I forgot one tablecloth for her birthday party.. go figure ;) We also picked up a few other things for her birthday party! I am SO excited. We officially have EVERYTHING but the cake and the punch made! Eeek! I just can't wait to see it all come together! :)

Once we got home, every time we opened the front door and then closed it, Tayler screamed, so we kind of figured that meant she wanted to go outside.. soo, we decided to take her down to the park and enjoy the outdoors before it started raining. You'll see by a few of the pictures that it was getting really cloudy!

Isn't she so pretty? Ethan and I are still messing around with the new camera and trying things out :) We have SO much fun with a camera in our hands, hehe! I love it! And Tayler is the perfect person to try the camera out on, you know? :)

When we got back inside, I think we were all starving, so I made a skillet meal we purchased at the store. This one was $3.98 but totally worth it! 4 bucks for all 3 of us to eat is just wonderful and much cheaper than going to a fast food joint!

These things are wonderful because all you do is turn it on medium-heat, cover, and cook for 12 minutes.. stirring occasionally! Little to no work and it tastes amazing!

You HAVE to love some Teryaki Chicken! :) Even Tayler enjoyed it and that says something, hehe! :)

Then I started like craving chocolate pudding. I bought some instant pudding at the store today and decided to make some. And since Tayler had just finished dinner, I decided to let her try it for the first time too. I guess, according to the pictures, you could say she loved it ;)

Oh yeah. It was nummy! :)

While we were eating, we watched 'Fast Five.' I bought all five of the Fast and the Furious movies for Ethan for his birthday. Now, his birthday isn't until April 10th, but they came a little early so I let him have them :) I'm a good wife, eh? ;)

Then we decided to sing Karaoke. We wanted to have some fun tonight and this just sounded perfect. Ethan was cracking me up singing Backstreet Boys... he did such a good job, haha! The pictures don't do his performance justice, honestly, haha!

Yes, he was having some fun, haha! :) We had such a good night and I hope all of you felt the same! :)

And now for our prayer today:

Pray that your husband will yield his mind and thoughts to the Lord. Pray that he will not entertain immoral or impure thoughts, and that he will resist the temptation to indulge in pornography. (Prov. 27:12; 2 Cor. 10:5)
(Source)

And the Bible verses that go along with this prayer are as follows:

Proverbs 27:12 (The Message) A prudent person sees trouble coming and ducks;
a simpleton walks in blindly and is clobbered.

2 Corinthians 10:3-6 (The Message) The world is unprincipled. It's dog-eat-dog out there! The world doesn't fight fair. But we don't live or fight our battles that way—never have and never will. The tools of our trade aren't for marketing or manipulation, but they are for demolishing that entire massively corrupt culture. We use our powerful God-tools for smashing warped philosophies, tearing down barriers erected against the truth of God, fitting every loose thought and emotion and impulse into the structure of life shaped by Christ. Our tools are ready at hand for clearing the ground of every obstruction and building lives of obedience into maturity.

Dear Jesus, thank You for Ethan and the blessing he has been to my life. I just pray that You will guard his mind. Guard it from the temptations that this world throws at him. Please let him have pure thoughts of the things that please You. I rebuke the temptation of impureness and pornography. Let him stand strong in You and what You stand for. We love You Lord and we thank You for everything that You do for us!! In Your name, Amen!

God bless you all

and cheers to Project 366!
