Project 365: Day 75- February 13th

I remember my mother's prayers and they have always followed me. They have clung to me all my life. ~Abraham Lincoln

Today started out with a trip out into the winter wonderland with my momma! I know I'm biased, but I have the best mother alive. We went to rent some movies.. and she totally bought Burger King :) Nothing like chicken tenders, fries, bbq sauce, ranch dressing, and a large coke to make the day exceptional! We enjoyed our lunch together, chit chatted about life.. it was great! I haven't really got to sit down and talk to her in awhile because of how busy things have been so it was wonderful to catch up. Here's another shot of us waiting in line haha :) And yeahh, my momma represents Ohio State. Worrd, holmes!

Then it was time to get ready for my wonderful date night with the boyfriend! I usually always wear my hair straight or in a ponytail lol, so... today got curls! It's quite the change haha! I usually always wear jeans and a shirt when Eth and I are together.. and today he's getting a dress and curls! Crazy talk, right? haha! :)

Then it was time to load up the car. I'm not leaving till about 6 to head up there, but hey, I'm too excited! I wanted to be fully packed and ready to leave hehe! Here's a shot of my car.. my bags and food in the car.

And my mom is sending cookies with me that she made.. you can't see it really well but they are two big cookies and they say "Ethan" and "Alyssa" on them hehe! She's so precious :) Thanks mom! We love you!

I figured I'd update my Project 365 today before I leave to go to Ethan's and then I'll take pictures of the dinner he makes, our dessert, and all of that good stuff tonight and post those pictures with my update tomorrow hehe! :) I am so excited! I have one of the best boyfriends ever!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! Tell someone you love them today! Cheers!

Project 365: Day 74- February 12th

The most beautiful view is the one I share with you. ~Author Unknown

Today was the day Ethan's Valentine's Day package FINALLY got delivered to him! Oh my lanta! I was so beyond excited! Ethan's sister Susan (who is absolutely amazing!) took it to him at his work since she works at the same place. He said he was so surprised! I could hardly sleep last night anticipating him getting it! haha! I got together a "Morning" surprise, "Afternoon" surprise, and an "Evening" surprise and separated each section so he'd get 3 presents at different moments throughout the day... but guess who didn't follow directions. Yep, you guessed it. My boyfriend, haha So he ended up opening ALL of the gifts at once, but oh well! I am just glad he got it and liked it hehe! :) Happy Valentine's Day babe! I love you!

Then, as Friday tradition goes... it was time to clean*sigh* haha! Nah, I actually enjoy it! I blare some T-Pain, T.I. Lil' Wayne, and Jay-Z and get on with mah bad self, haha! Here's a random shot. I really am a happy person, lol.

Then it was a trip to Walmart to get things for the AMAZING Valentine's Day weekend I have coming up with the boyfriend! :) It was an odd combination of things so don't judge me and don't make me explain haha! But it was DEFINITELY a funny experience pulling things out of the cart and seeing the reaction on people's faces... well, because, what an odd mixture of groceries hehe! :)

And yes, I came home and made me a scrumptious bowl of Chicken Noodle soup! I had been CRAVING it earlier and bought some because it was on sale at Walmart! I LOVE Chicken Noodle soup.. and I downed that sucker in about 2.23423423423 seconds haha! So good! I'm definitely going to be eating another bowl tomorrow!

Cheers to Project 365 and my wonderful boyfriend! You deserve some credit today! I love you!

Project 365: Day 73- February 11th

If someone listens, or stretches out a hand, or whispers a kind word of encouragement, or attempts to understand a lonely person, extraordinary things begin to happen. - Loretta Girzaltis

In August 2007, I went on a trip to North Carolina with my fellow youth group to a convention called "Youth Congress." One afternoon, my Aunt Lisa taught a lesson about the power of the tongue and about words of encouragement and had each of us write something nice and encouraging about every person in the room. We could make it anonymous or we could sign our name... either way, we were there to inspire each other and bless those that surrounded us. I had forgotten all about this until I was cleaning out my closet today and found this bag... So, I took out all of the papers and started reading through it and my eyes welled up with tears. It was exactly the kind of encouragement I needed today. I got a blessing 3 years ago.. and I received another one again today.

Then, I was CRAVING Subway, so I got a 6" steak sub on Italian Herbs & Cheese bread with pepper jack cheese, lettuce, onions, tomato, and chipotle sauce... with baked bbq lays and a sweet tea. Yeah, it was delicccious!

Then, I had quite the night trying to get things worked out with my college! I thought Id' take a pic of the sheet I was writing information down on.. see my advisors name with scribbles and x's through it? haha! I was a little upset, not gonna lie, LOL

And then.. since it's Thursday night... it was time for Vampire Diaries and Supernatural!

Cheers to Project 365!

Project 365: Day 72- February 10th

Yes, I am documenting that we got even MORE snow today haha! Goodness gracious, it's been a crazy cold past couple of weeks, but I think it's over with... at least for now. I hear there's more coming this way Sunday... guess we shall see, huh?

Here's another picture of the damage haha! Amazing. It's easy to complain about because it does make you have to be cooped up in your house at times.. it is hazardous to drive in, but goodness, when you just go outside... and look at it.. it's beautiful. It makes the whole world look at peace. I just sat outside a little bit today and took it in. What a wonderful experience.

Here's me outside enjoying the winter wonderland, baha! (I'm hiding behind the snow pile lol)

I also got a little bit of time with the boyfriend today. Oh, you make me smile.

Then, I had 2 chapters to read for class tomorrow as well as 2 homework assignments to get done for tomorrow! I had to get down to business... so I did in my usual area. I love my desk! It makes me feel so much more grown up, haha! I'm so thankful for parents that bought it for me. If you two are reading this, I love you :)

After working on my homework, I decided to get my old keyboard out and play around with it for awhile. I haven't played in such a long time, but I just felt this like.. yearning in my heart to do it. So, I started out by playing "Your Name" by Philips, Craig, and Dean... LOVE that song! Then, I found the chords to "The More I Seek You" and played that for about an hour. Tears streaming... those words just take my breath away.

the more I seek You, the more I find You... and the more I find You, the more I love You. I just wanna sit at Your feet, drink from the cup in Your hands, lay back against You and breathe, I want to feel Your heartbeat. This love is so deep, it's more than I can stand, I melt in Your peace, oh, it's overwhelming

And I finished the night catching up on my Bible reading to check mark that off my Bucket List!

Oh- and I want to document this. I actually wore pig tails today! I am so not even kidding, haha! Check this out!

Cheers to Project 365 and 3rd grade hair styles :)

Project 365: Day 71- February 9th

Winter is the time of promise because there is so little to do - or because you can now and then permit yourself the luxury of thinking so. ~Stanley Crawford
It was yet another day filled with TONS of snow today! We're getting hit with another beautiful (sigh) snow storm.. .so decided to capture a peaceful moment in it. When it snows, it pretty much means there isn't a whole lot to do... so, to make up for the time I was having to spend indoors, I washed my bedding! I feel like I am getting so old, because I was actually VERY excited about this, haha! :) Here's me in the process of getting the bedding onto the bed...
And the finished product :) I can't wait to climb into it tonight! That's the best part!

Then, since we're expecting more snow later, the boyfriend decided he would bring some movies and come down.. so I made the snack: No bake cookies and hot chocolate!

Cheers to Project 365 and life! and snow, I guess :) haha!

Project 365: Day 70- February 8th

“The Eskimos had fifty-two names for snow because it was important to them: there ought to be as many for love.”

Today was a lovely day outside. It was freezing and snowy, yes, but the sun was shining and it was breathtaking. I worked till 2:30, then decide to take a little bit of a walk and take some pictures of the beauty around me. Above is me with the snow, obviously, haha! Here are a few other pictures I took:

And of course, I had to do this (hehe) It's like any time you're at the beach... or near snow.. this is a rite of passage:

And I started doing my Yoga routine and was going into the Mountain position.... and I forgot I was tall... and that their was a fan on my ceiling.. and nearly broke off my middle finger. Tragic, right? LOL

And the night ended with one of my favorites, Kourt! We watched One Tree Hill & Secret Life.. and missed our other half Helen, lol! :) Good times, good times!

Cheers to Project 365!

Project 365: Day 69- February 7th

"Every child born into the world is a new thought of God, an ever fresh and radiant possibility." - Kate Douglas Wiggin

Kids. They keep things interesting don’t they? Haha. Today we traveled to Columbus to visit with my brother and his girlfriend, Marie. We are all Mexican food addicts so we went to El Vecaro for lunch! I downed the chips and salsa, sucked back about 5 glasses of Sprite, and barely ate the Chipotle Chicken strips I got (due to the excessive amounts of chips/salsa I had, haha) And, well, since I had the 5 glasses of Sprite, Mother Nature called rather quickly so a bathroom trip was a MUST. I walked into the bathroom, went into the first stall, and started… well, you know.. Doing my business. As I’m looking down, I see two little feet sliding underneath the door and climbing into my stall. So, I quickly try and finish and get my jeans up and there’s a little guy about a year old standing there looking at me haha! Then, I hear a lady say “Hunter, where are you??” So, assuming this little guy was this Hunter she spoke of, I said “Uh, he slid into the stall with me…” hahaha! So, I open the door and lead him out and all I could do was laugh.. Hysterically. The mom kept telling me “Thank you for laughing about it and not freaking out” LOL How could you not laugh about that? Hahaha!

Then we went and dropped Corey and Marie off at Marie’s car. The parking garage’s fire alarm was going off and was insanely annoying. We still aren’t sure whether the building was on fire or what, haha, but we braved it nonetheless. This is the whole crew together. That’s Marie, Corey, Mom, Dad, and me of course!

So then, we journeyed about 15 miles away and I got to meet Ethan’s sister Susan. We had so much fun… even if it was for only about 20 minutes. I got to hear some good stories about Ethan and share a few. Susan showed me their old Yahtzee game where Ethan and Jon had wrote some *ahem* interesting things on the inside of the box, haha! One for example was “Susan likes big anises” (yes that is suppose to say anuses hahaha) Yeah, I couldn’t quit laughing, haha! I think we probably laughed more than we talked. It was a good time!

And oh, yes, we had to go BACK to Corey and Marie because Corey left his powerade and face stuff in the van! So, we stalked them and eventually found them at Target. Dad offered them candy and Marie offered to get in the vehicle. Corey declared us “Miley Cyrus’ Concert Shuttle Bus.” It was awesome, haha!

All in all it was a GREAT day! The night is ending with watching the Superbowl-- of course :)

Cheers to Project 365!

August 13th Journal Prompt: Anger.

The journal prompt of the day is: How do you deal with your anger? I bottle a lot of my emotions up inside. If I feel anger- it may show on...
