Project 365: Day 347- November 12th

In Ohio, the weather has been insanely ridiculous for it being November. Yesterday, it nearly reached 70 degrees. For the girl that's in LOVE with the cold-- this isn't working. And quite frankly, my body is having a terrible time adjusting to a 29 degree night time temperature and a 70 degree daily temperature. We need some consistency here, Lord! :) haha! Fortunately, Saturday is the last day of the ridiculously high November temperatures and we're back to 40s/50s and rain. Joy! :) And I said all of this to reveal why I was SO SO sick yesterday. My poor wittle body can't keep up with weather inconsistencies and it gives me headaches, a burning up body, headache, and dizziness.... allergies.. the whole works. So here is where I spent MOST of my day... I'm serious, haha! (with 2 fans blowing on me!)

And while not feeling good-- I decided to watch some SCARY movies. Oh my! I was a big girl and watched them all alone. Okay, so I wasn't that BIG of a girl... it was light out, haha! But oh well :) I watched "Paranormal Activity" and "Paranormal Entity." I've already seen "Paranormal Activity" so I watched it just to watch it again, haha :) But that was the first time I've ever seen "Paranormal Entity"... DUMB MOVIE. Not even worth your time or money, haha! Thank God we have Netflix and it was free :)

After that, we got ready to go and met Matt & Carrie at Steak and Shake for some yummy dinner :) I got the bacon cheeseburger with tomato, lettuce, and onion.. oh and mustard of course! With fries and a salad with ranch :) And of course a Sprite! It was super yummy! PLUS, I always dip everything in Honey Mustard. Sooooooo freaking good! We had such a good time! We talked about our baby girls... our future plans... other hilarious things, haha! Then Matt & Ethan tried to win stuffed animals in the Claw Machine. When are people going to realize those things are rigged? haha! But they gave it a good effort. Here's Ethan trying:

He lost dangit :( I really wanted the pink pig! LOL And here's Matt trying to win and Carrie patiently watching hehe!

And after Steak and Shake, Ethan and I went to Family Video to buy a new movie and headed home with "Hot Tub Time Machine." Matt and Carrie came over and we watched that. Well, they watched it. I fell asleep at like 10:30 LOL! I can't stay up late anymore, haha!

We had such a good time :)

Project 365: Day 346- November 11th

Today marks being pregnant for 19 weeks. Yes, almost half way there :) I know I always say this, but it seriously feels like just yesterday I was announcing that we were expecting and here we are-- mid November. Amazing how life changes, right? Well, here's this momma at 19 weeks pregnant:

And here's a belly shot of Tayler at 19 weeks hehe

And after taking these pictures to document today, I got started painting! Yes, I am still painting things for Tayler's room. What a complete slacker, haha! But guess what? I finally got it ALL done today :) And everything is laid out in her room to start hanging up :)

And the letters for above her crib:

And after painting (and downing 64 oz. of water in 2 hours WITHOUT going to the bathroom) I was off with Mom and Dad for Tayler's ultrasound. I had to pee oh so bad, it was insane! I sat on my foot the whole car ride there (thank God I didn't have to drive, haha!) and once we got there, I barely hugged Ethan so I wouldn't be squeezed, walked through the door, signed some papers, and sat back down on my foot. Oh and guess what! They were running 20 minutes behind schedule AND told me to be there 20 minutes early to sign papers (when in reality I signed... okay, more like initialed ONE, haha)... so yes, I was there at 4:40PM for a 5:00PM appointment that was actually not til 5:20PM and I hadn't been to the bathroom since 3PM.... oh the joys of being pregnant, hahaha! :) Finally, I went back to the room and I told her "I have to pee so so bad.." and she said "Oh sweetie, you'll be fine!" (Okay? haha!) So I laid down, crossed my legs a little, and we got started. And guess what she said? "Good Lord sweetie... your bladder is REALLY full." In side I was thinking "Ya think??" haha! So, she did some measurements, took a few pictures, then let me potty! Thank You Lord, haha! But anyways, we got to see our Tayler bug and be for sure that SHE was a SHE :) Here's our angel now:

The ultrasound technician said "I can't even get a good picture of her. She won't stop moving!!!" LOL Another person telling us our daughter is extremely active, haha! She asked me what I drank and ate--- water and a bag of doritos? haha! I swear I didn't have Mt. Dew and cupcakes, haha!

After that, I was STARVING, so we went to Quiznos with mom and dad! I got the yummy honey bourbon chicken sandwich on wheat-- my absolute favorite! Here's a picture of Ethan and me after eating:

Tayler and I just love Daddy :)

And here's my wonderful parents at Quiznos. I'm so thankful they're being so supportive through everything! I have been so immensely blessed!

Cheers to Project 365 and Happy Veteran's Day!

Project 365: Day 345- November 10th

I spent my morning working on homework assignments, cleaning the house, painting, and watching the new Alice in Wonderland. It was a really good movie! The girl that plays Alice did a really great job playing the party. Of course, Johnny Depp did excellent playing a weird character, haha! He always does LOL :)

Once Ethan got home, we went to the store to grab some Ranch Dressing and Pepsi for his mom and headed to her house. She was cooking dinner-- salads, baked potatoes, and meatloaf. Oh my gosh, it was heavenly! I had a baked potato with sour cream, butter, and shredded cheese and 2 slices of meatloaf--- YUMMY! Carol does such a good job cooking :) We loved it. Here's Ethan and me after we got done eating. I don't know why he has to be so weird LOL

Arena decided to help us out and take a better picture, haha!

And here's the cook of the evening, Ethan's momma-- Carol! :)

And Arena was playing with Ranger... okay, well "playing" haha! She kept saying "He loves me" and he kept running from her. Ethan said "Yea, Arena, you're the freaking cat whisperer. A real natural" hahaha! It was hilarious!

And we've got a group photo here: Carol, Ethan, Jon, Arena, and me :)

After dinner, Jon and Ethan went to help an older lady move some furniture, then Ethan and I came home, got some hot cocoa, and cuddled up to watch the CMA awards :) Yes, we love country music, but can I ask why Taylor Swift wasn't up for like ANYTHING? What the heck.

Although her song "Back to December" was just gorgeous on stage!

Project 365: Day 344- November 9th

Oh, the morning began about 5AM. I got up with Ethan and saw him off to work, then got a shower and got ready for my doctor's appointment at 7:50AM :) I was so ready to hear Tay's heartbeat... that makes the whole appointment SO worth it. More bloodwork today. Not fun. But 'eh, you gotta do what you gotta do, right? haha! Here's a shot of that:

And after that lovely appointment, I went to Tim Hortons. I felt like I deserved a Chicken Salad sub on toasted wheat bread. Oh my heavens! It was super yummy! I couldn't even wait til I got home to eat it LOL!

Once I got home, it was nap time! I was exhausted. And after nap time, I threw meatballs in the crock pot (Mom's recipe hehe!) Italian meatballs and Hunts spaghetti sauce. Makes for some amazing meatballs... and even yummier meatball subs cause yep! That's what was for dinner :)

And after meatballs, we took a walk and then Ethan went over to play a little bit of basketball at the fitness center and I read for my college class :)

And while he was playing ball, I was jamming to Nicki Minaj's new song "Right Thru Me." I LOVE LOVE LOVE this song :) Definitely recommend it!

And we finally came home.. it was rather chilly out, so we cuddled up with a big blanket, some cups of hot cocoa...

And we watched "Jumper." Pretty good movie!

Project 365: Day 343- November 8th

I got up rather early this morning to finish my project for class and clean up around the house. I was a slacker the night before, so I had LOTS to clean up. By 9:30/10:00.... EVERYTHING was done... and I wasn't feeling the greatest. The changing of the seasons is really getting to me. Like seriously, if the weather would either stay at a constant FREEZING point or a constant 60 degree point, it would be great! But noooo, it's 20 degrees at night and 60 degrees through the day... poor wittle Alyssa's body can't handle that, haha! Not to mention, I couldn't get the salsa lid open :( I had an awful meltdown. But have no fear-- Kat was here. No, no, no...she didn't open the salsa container... I got a card in the mail from her :)

Yes, it definitely brightened up my day :) Thank you Kat!

After that, I worked on dinner. We were having cheesy bacon bites and pigs in a blanket :) Oh, the cheesy bacon bites were AMAZING (if I do say so myself, haha!)

They look kind of "icky" in this picture, haha, but I SWEAR they are yummy. How do you make them you might be wondering?

1 package (3 ounce ) cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup Real Bacon Pieces
2 tablespoons chopped onions
1/8 teaspoon black pepper
1 package (8 ounce) refrigerated crescent rolls

Preheat oven to 350° F.
Combine cream cheese, bacon, onion and pepper in a Batter Bowl.
Separate crescent rolls into triangles.
Pinch seams together. Spread cheese mixture on each triangle.
Roll up, starting at longest side, and seal.
Cut each roll into 16 slices.
Place slices cut side down, on flat Baking Stone. Bake
for 15 minutes or until golden brown. Serve warm.

(Pampered Chef Recipe)
It was yummy! After that, Ethan rode his street bike and I painted the rest of the circles for Tayler's bedroom and glued the letters of her name on to the polka dots. We want to get those hung up in her room by Tuesday night or Wednesday night.

Once E got home, we put our peejays on, cuddled up on the couch, and watched "He's Just Not That Into You." Yep, my choice tonight, haha!

Cheers to Project 365!

Project 365: Day 342- November 7th

It was a relaxing day for Ethan and me :) We didn't have ANY plans (first time in a loooooooooooong time, haha) so, we sat around the house and just, well, were lazy :) We decided to get everything together and make broccoli and cheese soup... with french bread, of course! Here is a shot of Ethan and I cooking together. Don't mind that black spot on my face, haha! It's from crying-- we added onions, haha!

I love cooking with him :) hehe! We have so much fun!

and the broccoli and cheese soup was FINALLY finished! Here is the final product: (Ethan's plate)

And my plate:

Doesn't that look yummy? Oh, believe me hehe! It was :) We even packed up some and took it to his momma for her lunch and she enjoyed it thoroughly... YAY! I always get super nervous cooking for someone other than Ethan because, well, he'll eat anything, haha!!

After delivering food to Ethan's mom, we watched "Drillbit Taylor" on TBS :) Such a cute, funny movie! I love Owen Wilson!

Then Ethan left to go hunting and guess what I did? TOOK A NAP :) You'd think with the time change, I'd have been all rested up with the extra hour of sleep we got, but nope-- I was more tired today than I am usually, haha! So, I took a 2 hour nap and he hunted for 2 hours... til he got bored. I think he just really missed me, hehe ;) So, once he got home, we went to the store and bought 3 new movies that were on sale (Yes, we have an addiction, haha)

The House Bunny, Davinici Code, and Eagle Eye. And thus, we watched Eagle Eye :)

SUCH a good movie! I was on the edge of my seat almost the whole time. Definitely kept my interest even though I was getting super sleepy, haha!

Project 365: Day 341- November 6th

Woke up this morning to: BREAKFAST IN BED. Oh yes indeed. My sweet, sweet boyfriend brought me breakfast in bed. I still get really nauseous in the AM if I don't eat something quickly... and being the kind-hearted man that he is, before he left to go fishing, he made me something and brought it back to me along with a big bottle of 7-Up. Absolutely love him :)

Then he left to go fishing and shopping for new hunting gear and I got dressed and met my mom and Grandma in town to do some shopping at Kohls and Hobby Lobby. I got 2 new maternity shirts today:

How cute are those? Yes! I am in love hehe! Grandma got some new shoes at Kohls... as did my mother.. and then we were off to Hobby Lobby. I needed to pick up more circles to paint for my sweet Tayler's bedroom. Unfortunately, they only had 5 smaller circles left, so I had to purchase bigger circles... we'll see what we can do with this :)

Then we headed over to Sojourners Subs for lunch. It's a new restaurant in town that sells subs (with homemade bread), soups, and salads. Grandma really wanted to try it so we thought... heck, why not! I got the Philly Steak sub with green peppers and onions.. and extra mayo. Momma don't like her subs dry, LOL. We even had two visitors-- Ethan came with his buddy TJ. Ethan hasn't met my grandma yet, so they came for lunch and for a little meet and greet :) Here's a shot of my mom, Grandma, and me out front of the store: (compliments to Ethan for this picture)

After that, TJ and Ethan went to look at more hunting gear and I said farewell to my mom and Grandma and headed home :) Guess what came in the mail today????

Tayler's new onesie :) Ethan is in love with it haha!

Ethan finally got home from hunting and we headed over to see Brad for his birthday. And then my parents and Corey came over to see our new place. (Well, Corey-- he hadn't seen it yet) And they brought BURGER KING!!! Oh yes, you know I LOVE LOVE that! :) They brought me chicken tenders, fries, ranch dressing, and a Sprite. Yummy! :) We had such a good time hanging out hehe!

Funny story here.... Corey said he was going to buy it for us haha! So, mom and dad were like sure! They went to Burger King, ordered, and Corey said, "Oops, I forgot my wallet!" BAHAHAH. Classic Corey move. So, mom and dad ended up paying for it LOL!!

And Ethan decided to model, haha:
