I'm Country....?

Day 03 – Your favorite album track

This is the 21st century, folks. I don't purchase 'albums' anymore, haha! I guess I could stick pick a song off of an album, huh? It's just I rarely listen to a whole album, so to me-- I suppose they're all just 'singles.' And it's hard to pick a 'favorite.' I LOVE music. Period. So, I guess right now-- I'm going to describe my FAVORITES right now.
Country Must Be Country Wide

Easy

Heart Like Mine

GREAT songs. Go listen to them, y'all!

Project 365: Day 50- August 5th

We went to look at a house today...... and dear Lord. It was cheap... we should have expected the condition it was in, but honestly-- I was still completely shocked! We looked at the walls and they had an orange tint on some of them (kind of like a rust look?).... it was on all of the walls.... even the middle floor which could only mean one thing--- it was in the walls! The basement had black mold... it was insane. So, the realtor had a contractor come in to look at it------ the chimney leaks. And it was leaking through the walls, the ceilings, and the floors. Holy crap! Even though the outside was GORGEOUS, the garage was huge, and there was a patio-- we said NADA. We can't afford for anything to be wrong with the house. We are looking for something to start our family in and it has to, has to, has to be safe for Tayler. I would post pictures of the house we looked at but for the privacy of the people who owned it prior to us, I'll just leave it to those descriptions. Just please continue to pray for us that God will lead us in the right direction as far as a house goes. We have the money, now it's just finding the one we want. We truly do not want to settle. We just want to have the RIGHT place.

You know, it's amazing what having a baby does to your whole life. Now looking at a place, our main concern is safety and the school district. I know our sweetheart is only a little over 4 months old now, but we want the house we get to be our home. We don't want to be moving Tayler around all the time. We want stability... and a good school district. So, sadly, we overlook a lot of homes that we find because of that reason. Yes, I could drive her to another school, but there are only 2 districts we WANT her in.. and it'd be a hefty drive to each of those if we purchased any of the houses we were looking at. I just don't know... we are torn. And just need a lot of prayers!

After the tour of that house, we went to Tay's 4 month well baby check up. Here's Tayler and Daddy hanging out waiting for the doctor to come in:

Yes, that's our big girl! And when I say big-- I mean big, haha! She is 26.5" long (90th percentile) and 16lbs 11oz (95th percentile)... pretty much Tayler is bigger than any kid her age. Go figure! It'd be our kid, haha! :) But the doctor said she is VERY healthy and gave us the go-ahead for veggies, fruits, apple juice, and water :) I can't believe we're already at this stage in our lives. I thought for sure we'd be having bottles for a couple more months, but nope! Things go a lot faster than expected! Right now-- she's eating lunch and dinner baby food, then bottles in between. She LOVES it :) We got vitamins for her too since she's not getting formula as often. I'm so excited to see her keep growing! That baby is my pride and joy!

After that, we came home. We had the house to ourselves since my parents went to the Journey/Night Ranger/Foreigner concert :) So, I got started cleaning... and once I got done, I went to check on my babies and this is what I found:

ADORABLE.

Those are my sweeties! They were out like a light, haha! The day must have worn them out. I even got a close up of Tayler. She looked too darn cute not to!

Gah, she's gorgeous. And she only needs that darn binkie to fall asleep. Then, she pops it out, haha!

Once those sleepyheads woke up-- we watched 'The Blindside.' Ethan hadn't seen it yet and LOVED it. I think Tayler did too ;)

And she was still poppin' after the movie, crazy kid! So, we put her in her jumper...

And we played some music! Mommy busted out the keyboard and daddy busted out the guitar. For some reason, she was more amused with the guitar.. or maybe it was Daddy? haha! Either way, she was singing along :)

By the end of the night, she was super cranky because she was so tired. We've been struggling with getting her to sleep in her crib ever since we moved in with my parents. She was so used to her old bedroom, this was difficult for her. So, we brought up the co-sleeper and stuck in the crib, laid her in that, and guess what?

She slept from 11:30PM to 6:00AM.

YAY BIG GIRL. Mommy and Daddy got SO much sleep, it was wonderful!

Cheers!

Project 365: Day 49- August 4th (And Project 52)

Tayler turned 18 weeks old today :) What a big girl, right? I know I'm doing this a day late (yes, I post my blogs a day after they happened haha) soooo we actually had her 4 month well baby check up on August 5th, but she turned 18 weeks old on August 4th. I'm just going to give you the details from her doctor's appointment so we can keep accurate records of my sweet heart :)

Here's my 18 week old:

Tayler is 26.5 inches long (90th percentile) and 16lbs 11oz (95th percentile)..... yes, she is a CHUNKER, haha! But the doctor said she is very healthy and we got he go ahead for fruits and veggies. Oops, we've already been doing that, haha! :)

Tayler spent some time today in her jumper. She LOVES this thing now! She thoroughly enjoys playing in it. Her favorite, as I previously stated, is the lion, but she's also learning how to press the buttons and play with the lights and music :)

Then we got ready and went to Papaw's softball game--- one of Tayler's favorites!!! :) She loves camping out on Gigi's lap and enjoying the view, hehe!

How about those sandals? hehe! :)

And she was cracking us up. Gigi would bounce her on her lap and she'd open her mouth, start making a noise, and it would go "ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-ah-" (Can you picture that or did I just sound ignorant? haha!) Anyways-- it was funny!

 Cheers!

Everything- Stacie Orrico (Day 1)

Day 01 - A song from the first album you ever bought

Boy, is it sad that I remember the day I bought my VERY FIRST CD? Seriously. It was that big of a deal. I had TONS of CDs prior to this one thanks to my parents, but I remember going to K-Mart the day after I got a CD player in my car and purchased this bad boy right here:

Stacie Orrico-- Everything.

So the song I'm picking today is 'Everything.' I used to sing this song ALL the time and dream about the man I would marry one day.

I said a prayer
That someday I would find a boy
And together we’d find joy
Maybe someday
And he would care
About the color of the sky
About the things that make me cry
Maybe someday

And I've found him :) Who would have guessed?

Project 365: Day 48- August 3rd

Tayler got a new toy today!

Once again.... I ask... What did I talk about or take pictures of before Tayler came into our lives? We must have been boring you before, haha! :)

We journeyed to Walmart because we wanted to get Tayler a jumper or a walker... something to get those legs strengthened. Tayler loves impromptu trips to the Wally World with her parentals... can't you tell? HAHA!

I always feel bad taking her places with us because chances are we are going to stop to eat along the way and she just sits there. It breaks my heart. I know she can't EAT our food, but still, haha! Is right to stuff your face full of Subway while she just sits there and watches? Poor thing, LOL!

But we saved the day by purchasing this bad boy:

According to the box it's a 'Bounce, Bounce Baby'.... we use the technical term: Jumper, haha! And guess what? SHE LOVES IT :)

She was pressing the buttons and making music play. Her favorite part is the lion. She pushes him and makes noises and talks to him, haha! I LOVE watching her interact with it. And I love that they make things now that you can put kiddos in while you're doing household chores, etc... and they can still be learning and interacting. Precious!

Cheers!

Project 365: Day 47- August 2nd

Tayler looked pretty adorable today-- if I do say so myself, haha! What do you guys think?

Her shirt says:
My daddy's tattoos are cooler than your daddy's.

HAHA! Ethan was super proud ;) I LOVED it.. and how freaking cute are those Nikes?

They're size 2s. No, I don't want to talk about it :( LOL

She wore those nifty shoes to her Papaw's softball game. It's become our (my mom, Tayler, and me) tradition to go out there on Tuesday and Thursday nights and root him on :) Tayler loves watching...

 And sucking her thumb...

And sleeping.....

HAHAHAHAH!

And when she's not doing one of those three things, she's posing for a picture with Mommy and Gigi :)

Question: What did I take pictures of prior to Tayler?

Cheers!

Project 365: Day 46- August 1st (And Project 52)

It was a pretty boring day yesterday. We ran a few errands.... got Tayler some formula... and went swimming. Whoo? haha! So, since I didn't do a 4 month recap for my sweet Tayler, I figured it'd be time to do that NOW! :)

Tayler turned 4 months old on 7/31/2011.

Boy oh boy, this girl!

She is LOVING this baby food! We started her on it Sunday night and Monday night she was LOVING it. We tried Green Beans first. We read that you should start babies out on veggies so they don't get used to the sweet fruits first.. and it worked wonders. In all honesty, Tayler would rather eat her green beans than her bananas! Shocked?? Me too! We bought Green Beans, Bananas, Peas, and Apples. So far she has only tried the Green Beans and Bananas, but I'll keep you posted on the rest later! She even opens her mouth for more.. even if the spoon isn't up to her mouth, haha! My mom said, 'If all you've had is formula for the past 4 months, wouldn't you want something that tastes better and different too?' I heard dat! haha!

She is sitting up by herself a lot better. She's still leaning forward quite a bit... and falling over, haha, but she's getting the hang of it :) It was hilarious. I had her laying in my bed, propped up by a pillow... and she pulled herself up, fell forward, and didn't realize she had to put her hands in front of her.. so of course, she face planted.. poor thing! But she's trying! It's adorable!

Oh, oh... and I should have mentioned---  she tried out her high chair for the first time too! She LOVED it. Let me tell you-- she thinks she's big stuff, haha! She's pulling stuff off tables--- pulling on daddy's glass as he's trying to drink. She's getting smart. Momma loves her! :)

And let me tell you this--- I yelled at her Papaw Saturday. He got a little bit of blue Powerade on the end of his straw and let her taste it. And then let her taste it some more after I told him NO! haha! He's bad! And what was his response? 'I did this to you and you turned out fine...' hahahaha! Gah, what am I going to do with these grandparents of hers?!

Tayler also got to meet her Grandpa Rick for the first time this past week :) It was good that she got to experience that! I was very happy and so was Tayler's daddy!

I think that's a good recap! I'll have some more information on her weight/height by the end of the week because she has her 4 month well baby :)

Project 365: Day 45- July 31st

We woke up this morning at the INN AT DRESDEN. The staff... the room... everything was simply amazing! :) When you stay there, you get a free breakfast... and let me tell you something.... no offense to the hotels out there in this world that do continental breakfasts, but this place would kick all y'alls booties, haha! They made us hashbrown quiche, bacon, cinnamon raisin bread, toast, a breakfast cookie, fresh fruit, orange juice, and tea ..... YUM.

It was delicious..

And would you check out our view while eating breakfast..

Makes you thankful for this precious gift called LIFE.

And it made us miss our angel. We were ready to get home, haha! Is that sad? We're gone for one night and we can't wait to get home to see her! :)

Once we got home, it was time to test out BABY FOOD on our sweet Tayler. They have baby food now for 'supported sitters' and since Tayler still hasn't quite got used to the whole 'sitting up by herself' thing, this fit her like a glove. What'd we try first?

The dreaded Green Beans

But guess what?

She actually liked them! No funny, icky faces at all, haha!

But she soon tired of it. She'd rather have that instant gratification of a bottle. Why should you have to work for your food, right? haha!

And how about that high chair? Honestly, when I was pregnant for Tayler, I didn't think we would use that this soon, but she sits in it perfectly. No need for blankets or extra support. Where'd my baby go? :(

Cheers to Project 365!

Project 365: Day 44- July 30th

SATURDAY WAS THE DAY!!!

For those of you just catching up, hehe....

Ethan and I got married at the courthouse on December 28th, 2011--- LIKE THIS...

Yep. E was in his work clothes. I was wearing a black shirt and jeans.... and I was 6 months pregnant with Tayler :) We didn't want to worry about having a big, fancy wedding because I wanted to be able to rock it out at our wedding reception, haha! So, we got married by the mayor of our little village and planned on having a wedding reception with all of our friends and family after Tayler was born.

Well, Tayler is here and growing like a weed, so we planned our wedding reception for July 30th, 2011...

The theme was 'Midnight Masquerade.' I wanted a classy look-- black, white, gold, and some silver accents. And it was beautifully decorated. I didn't take any pictures there (shocker, I know!) but I was a little pre-occupied, haha! I'll make sure you all see what the room looked like soon though once the photographer gets to me with them!! :) However, I do have ONE picture of me on the way to the reception:

I wanted it to be my fairytale wedding-- even if we did do things completely out of the 'norm' haha! I had a gorgeous wedding dress from JC Penney! :) Tayler was dressed up.. and my groom was even dressed up (That was the first time I've EVER seen him dressed up in my life!) We did a garter toss, a bouquet toss, and even had the first dances! :) It was the most fun I've had in a long time! Thank you soo much mom and dad for hosting this for us! We LOVED it and appreciate it sooo much!

We even had a small honeymoon :) We went to the 'Inn at Dresden' that night! IT WAS AMAZING! If you're looking for a gorgeous, relaxing stay------ it's there! The bed had steps you walked up to get to it.. it was that big! There was a heart shaped jacuzzi tub. They had sweet tea and cookies, hehe and 1,000 DVDs to choose from incase you wanted to watch one :) Plus we had our own private deck. GORGEOUS. Before we walked into the room, E said he had to go ahead of me and fix some things... After he carried me over the threshold.. I saw a note laying on the chair by the fireplace. He told me to go read it.

He had made a SCAVENGER HUNT for me, haha! It said 'To see all the reasons I love you.... follow this...' and it took me to the fridge, the desk, the dresser, and the bed... and throughout the scavenger I found tons of things that reminded him of me :) It was gorgeous! At the end was a bottle of wine and wine glasses... PERFECTION.

It was an amazing day that I'm soooo grateful for <3

Project 365: Day 43- July 29th

How did my Friday morning start?

Perfection.

Oatmeal with a dollop of Peanut Butter and chocolate chips, a crossword puzzle, and coffee.

Mmmm :) I love it!

And Tayler had some nummmmmies too!!
She loves her some oatmeal, haha!!

E and I spent the day running a few errands for our wedding reception, then the whole family got ready to go to my previous Pastor's calling hours. Such a sad day :( He was such a kind, compassionate person. He baptized me in December 1995.... and it was heartbreaking to hear that he had passed on, but I know he is smiling now with the Lord :)

Prior to the calling hours, we went to Tla Que Paque--- my favorite mexican restaurant EVER! I got the Pollo Con Crema--- the ultimate! Mmmm!

Then we headed to the funeral room to pay our respects and give our sympathies to our home church, Sis. Richard, and all of the kids.

Tayler was beat.... and she didn't last long!

Thank God for Gigi cuddles :) We enjoyed seeing people we hadn't seen in a long time. Amazing how a sad time brings people together again.

August 13th Journal Prompt: Anger.

The journal prompt of the day is: How do you deal with your anger? I bottle a lot of my emotions up inside. If I feel anger- it may show on...
