Project 365: Day 25- December 25th

"Even as an adult I find it difficult to sleep on Christmas Eve.
Yuletide excitement is a potent caffeine, no matter your age."
[Carrie Latet]

This is how I spent Christmas night and I have to tell you it was wonderful. Christmas is a beautiful holiday... it brings people together and it makes you r
emember the true meaning. Jesus Christ came to this earth to spread love, peace, and goodness. This little guy right here is my cousin Brody and I felt so much love tonight it was unreal. It made me excited to one day have a child of my own. I just loved feeling his warmth and seeing his little hands. Then he fell asleep on me..

I loved it! I really did.

I actually stayed up really late on Christmas Eve. A) Because I was so excited to give out presents! B) Because I had a late night phone call. More about that to come.

I got to spend time with my family which is an amazing blessing in itself. They so graciously bought me a desk and new TV:

And my grandma bought my sister and I matching outfits hehe! She is the cutest. She always buys us matching things... cause we're so close in age. We were used to it growing up (teenage years) with birthday parties together, graduations together, same skirt purchases, same cars... and it continues today haha :)

Project 365: Day 24- December 24th

Christmas, children, is not a date. It is a state of mind. [Mary Ellen Chase]

Merry Christmas Eve first of all to every one reading this! I hope it h
as been a greatday for you! We went over to my Aunt Shelly's house tonight and had a WONDERFUL time. I seriously have the best family, hands down. We are certainly a crazy bunch, but I can't imagine it being any other way. The above picture is of my cousin Makala, me, and my sister Jennifer... before the festivities kicked off for the evening. These girls are some of my best friends. We always have fun when we're together.

Apples to Apples is one of our traditions on Christmas Eve.. or really, any Holiday! My brother Corey bought the Extension Pack so we had TONS of cards to use during our games tonight. We laughed hysterically of course when the cards were laid "cheesy" -- "my father" "gall bladder". Kind of an inside story :) haha!

We started a new tradition as well of "Santa Bingo!" And yes, this would be my card. No, it has not been altered at all after 15 numbers being called. In all 15 of those, I didn't get a single one. Lovely huh? Brad won All 3 of them. Sweet.

And of course, our Christmas Eve can't be complete without some dancing! We danced to Cha Cha Slide, Cupid Shuffle, Love Will Keep Us Together, Jailhouse Rock, The Twist, and YMCA. This has to be my favorite because we have so much fun with it. Oh, and how can I forget.. my favorite song to dance to--- Party in the USA.

I have TONS of other pictures (of course) but I won't upload them on here for your sake, haha! Just check out my facebook and I hope you enjoy having a peak into our lives.

Remember why we have Christmas and it's true meaning. I'm so thankful for Jesus coming to earth and rescuing me.

Cheers to Project 365 and my Savior.

Project 365: Day 23- December 23rd

Other things may change us, but we start and end with family

I realize this is my second posting this week of my family sitting in a restaurant (haha) but these people [and of course my two other siblings who aren't pictured] mean the absolute world to me, so of course, they are going to be featured in my Project 365 rather often hehe :) I took the family out to eat tonight.. just to do it. I had been crrrrrrrrrrraving Quiznos for the past week, so I said "Hey, family! Wanna join me?" And they did! I got the Honey Bourb
on Chicken sandwich on wheat with onions, tomatoes, and lettuce and some yummy mustard sauce! I'm usually a fan of the spicy stuff, but this had more of a sweetness to it and let me tell you, it was delicious! Plus, I added Baked BBQ lays which pretty much make a meal! And top that off with a Quizno Sweet Tea... baby, we got a scrumptious meal sitting before us! Not to mention, I had some great company! The love of a family is life's greatest blessing.

And of course, I had to add this picture of my brother Corey and I playing Mario Kart on the Super NES. I totally kicked his butt, although he won't admit that, haha! But we had so much fun! I love the Holidays and I love spending time with my family. Honestly, when the rest of the world walks out on you... they will always be there. They are my blessing and I'd be lost without them. I love all you guys!

Get excited for tomorrow's picture, because I assure you-- it will be interesting. It's Christmas Eve which means family time... and there's no telling what could go down when you put my family together, haha!

Cheers to Project 365 and my family.

Project 365: Day 22- December 22nd

Anyone who says they have only one life to live must not know how to read a book.

I absolutely adore reading. And I sadly (or fortunately) have read every book in our house, so a trip to the library was most definitely in order. A lot of my friends were raving about the Harry Potter books (as well as the new movie), so I figured, why not give them a try. I checked out "Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone" and "Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire." I am half way through the first one and I have to say... they are as addicting as everyone has led on! There was some skepticism as far as the nature of these books goes... due to there being wizards and witches and what not, but I have to say, that it's just a book about a young man who had absolutely nothing and found himself on the path to greatness. Books are books. They take you to a far away land for as long as you'll allow them to. Being the reader that I am, I never understood how someone could not love getting lost inside a novel. I could read for hours and not even realize that time had passed. I plan on reading the entire Harry Potter series by the end of this Project 365. I shall keep you updated about this journey. So far, so good!

Cheers to Project 365 and Harry Potter. You both take me away for a brief moment in time..

Project 365: Day 21- Decmeber 21st

Celebrate your success and stand strong when adversity hits, for when the storm clouds come in, the eagles soar while the small birds take cover

Around 9PM last night my brother got the phone call that he had received the co-op he had been praying and hoping for... and we could not be more proud of him! So, tonight we went to a local pizza place and celebrated! Corey has worked hard all of his life to get to where he is at right now and he deserves every bit of what is destined for him. I could not be a more proud big sister than I am right now. I admire Corey more than he knows and I am so thankful that I'm one of his big sisters. We had a great evening filled with salads, garlic bread, and pizza.. and my favorite: Sierra Mist. Corey even got his own little piece of cheesecake. Congratulations once again Corey! I can't wait to see where you are a year from now.

Cheers to Project 365 and my brother. You both have been life changing.

Project 365: Day 20- December 20th

"From home to home,
and heart to heart,
from one place to another.
The warmth and joy of Christmas,
brings us closer to each other. " [Emily Matthews]

This past week (and today) I got some amazing cards from some amazing people! I LOVE Christmas cards, both sending and giving them! Those of you that sent Christmas cards, you won't know how much it meant to me. I love all my girls (you ALL know who you are!) and I appreciate each and every one of you and all your support of this year. And of course, I'm going to send some mad props to those featured in this picture, haha: Jess, Nancy, Heather, Victoria, Jaclyn, Jacki, Angela, and Kat. You are seriously the best friends a girl could ask for! This has made my Christmas 2009 that much brighter! May God bless you in the next year :)

Cheers to Project 365 and my amazing friends. I'd be lost without you.

August 13th Journal Prompt: Anger.

The journal prompt of the day is: How do you deal with your anger? I bottle a lot of my emotions up inside. If I feel anger- it may show on...
