Alphabet Weeks-- Letter A-- Day 5

On Day 5 of our first week-- letter A-- our task was:

Day 5 (May 16th) our task was: 'All About AUTUMN.' I know, I know... it's almost Summer, but why not take a second to learn about Autumn/Fall! We are going to watch an Autumn/Halloween cartoon, and color AUTUMN trees :) Gorgeous trees with red, orange, and yellow leaves! I'm a huge lover of all things Autumn, so I think this will be a great, fun day for everyone.

We had a fun time watching 'Yo Gabba Gabba' and their Halloween episode as well as 'Jake and the Never Land Pirates' Halloween episode. Mommy talked a lot about how Autumn starts with 'A' and how Mommy LOVES this time of year.. and how baby brother will be joining us in AUTUMN!! :) Lots of fun and exciting things coming our way!

And that's a wrap for our first week-- all about the letter 'A!' I really hope my girls are having fun with this :) I am so excited for next week-- I think they are going to LOVE it :)

Alphabet Weeks-- Letter A-- Day 4

Our task today (5/15/2014) was:

It's 'Alphabet Sidewalk Chalk Day.' We are going to go outside on our patio and write the letter A with sidewalk chalk! Perfect way to get outside.. and for the girls to learn how to write it. We might throw in some naming the colors while we are at it since we have different colored chalk :)

Well, unfortunately... it rained pretty much all day (who am I kidding-- it has rained all week lol!) So, we had to stay inside to do our alphabet letters! And I forgot the colored chalk! So, we only had white chalk, but we still had a lot of fun! Quinn wasn't interested AT ALL, but Tayler and I spent a lot of time together :) She wanted to write ALL of the ALPHABET and her numbers! Then she tried to trace some of them.

Alphabet Weeks-- Day 3-- Letter 'A'

Today's task (5/15/2014) was to: make ANIMAL noises! Tayler and Quinn have 14 animals that they play with in their zoo that their Pappy and Gigi purchased for them. Today, we are going to practice saying their sounds! This should be a fun activity-- I think Tayler is going to find it hilarious! We will be learning the noises of: a tiger, a lion, a polar bear, an elephant, a camel, a gorilla, a flamingo, a chimpanzee, a whale, an alligator, a seal, a doggie, a duck, and a penguin. You can play some animal noises HERE.

We had so much fun! Quinn had more fun chewing on them LOL and Tayler had more fun naming them off to me, hahahaha, but oh my word, they thought me making noises was just HYSTERICAL!

Tayler looks really enthused (and she needs a hair cut-- that's soon, I'm terrible! lol) But we had a blast with our Animal noises today! We're having SO much fun with the letter 'A!'

ALPHABET WEEKS-- LETTER 'B'

I decided to go ahead and post Week 2 (Letter B-- May 19th-May23rd) today.. I'm making a grocery list and I needed to put a few things on there, so I thought I would give you all a heads up too if you're following along with this :)

This week (Monday, May 19th-Friday, May 23rd) is all about the LETTER 'B.'

MONDAY- BALLOON GAME! Blow up a balloon, talk about how the word 'balloon' starts with the letter 'B,' and then have fun trying to keep the balloon off of the ground. Every time you hit the balloon, count higher and higher! See how high you can count together :)

TUESDAY- B is for BIBLE. We are going to read the story of BABY Jesus being BORN HERE. This story doesn't go too in depth, but with Tayler and Quinn's 3 minute attention span, I think what they have written is perfect!

“She gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.” Luke 2:7 (New International Reader’s Version)
Have the children do the following hand motions along with repeating the words after you, to help them learn the Bible Verse:
She gave birth to her first born, a son: act like you are rocking a baby
She wrapped him in clothes: wrap a pretend baby in a blanket
And placed him in a manger: pretend to gently lay the baby down
Because there was no room: shake head side to side as though saying, “no”
For them in the inn: make the shape of a house with your arms
Luke 2: hold up 2 fingers
7: hold up 7 fingers
Do this a few times with the children. Make it fun for them to do the motions and say the words. Involving them in active learning is essential for memorization at this age.

WEDNESDAY-  BUBBLES!!! We are going to discuss the fact that Bubbles starts with the letter 'B' and then we are going to go outside and have a ton of fun blowing bubbles! These are one of Tayler and Quinn's favorite things to do outside anyways! They love chasing them and trying to catch them.

THURSDAY-  We are going to make a Bunny Butt for lunch today! We are going to talk about how Bunny starts with the letter 'B' and then we are going to dig in and enjoy it! Both girls love peanut butter and jelly and Tayler adores raisins! I am so excited! HERE is where I got the idea! I can't wait for the girls to see it!

FRIDAY- Today we are going to trace the letter 'B' (I want tracing to be something we do at least once a week) and then we are going to BUILD with BLOCKS! We have hundreds so we should be able to build something awesome! Perfect way to end our week with the letter 'B.'

BEAUTIFUL!!!!

4 Months Pregnant (16 Weeks)

We are 4 months (16 weeks) pregnant today! :)

I am really having a hard time believing that! I seriously feel like I JUST announced I was pregnant and it's been almost 3 months since then. Just crazy!

'What to Expect' says baby is the size of a turnip this week.. so if you see one while out grocery shopping, cradle it for a minute ;)

We have an ultrasound in 2 weeks and I am BEYOND excited to see how big little man is getting! I just wanna see that little nose and adorable profile :) I am so excited!

I am been feeling him a lot more lately and I actually felt him on the outside two times this week! It's such a blessing and gives me butterflies every single time it happens :) I don't think feeling a baby kick EVER gets old! :)

I swear this kid is going to come out speaking Spanish LOL All I want is mexican! We have had tacos this week..quesadillas... and I've been craving Chipotle so hubby is bringing that home for dinner tonight! I'm a lucky girl that he puts up with my cravings.. he never complains :) Good man right there!

We have about 21-24 weeks (147-168 days) until we get to meet little man! Seems SO long, but I know it will go just as fast as the past 4 months have!

Alright.. ready for our weekly questions?? :)

How far along? 16 weeks.
Total Weight Gain? Zero so far! :)
Maternity Clothes? A few shorts, but nothing other than that. Gotta love the belly band!
Stretch Marks? I have some from both pregnancies already!
Sleep: It's been a little rough! Just not resting for some reason :(
Best Moment of This Week: Feeling baby boy move around a little more AND feeling him on the outside twice!! I am so excited for it to be constant! :)
Miss Anything?  Sleeping on my belly? And I could have used a stiff drink this week ;) HAHA!
Movement: Here and there! :)
Food Cravings: MEXICAN food!
Anything Make You Queasy or Sick? Just early mornings! If I don't eat, I'm a mess :) and if I sneeze for some reason? I always feel like I'm going to vomit after.
Gender: BOY!!
Labor Signs: I'd sure hope not! :)
Symptoms: Nausea in the AM, peeing constantly, feeling movement, tired a lot!
Belly Button In or Out? She's an innie!
Wedding rings on or off? On and sometimes off at night! My hands seem to swell then for some reason?
Happy or Moody this Week?  Happy and moody LOL :) I'm an emotional roller coaster sometimes!
Looking Forward To: Our ultrasound at the end of May :) And getting more clothes for Nate. We got a lot the other day, but I am really looking forward to hitting up some yard sales soon :)

Alphabet Weeks--Letter A-- Day 2

Today's task (May 13th) was:

TUESDAY- Sing (and try to learn) the Letter A Rhyme Song!

Way up high in the apple tree (stretch both arms above your head, hands open)
Two little apples smiled at me (keep arms above head, close hands into fists)
I shook that tree as hard as I could (keep arms above head, "shake" tree)
Down came the apples (bring fists down toward stomach)
Mmmm, they were good! (rub stomach)

As weird as it sounds, Quinn was more interested in this than Tayler (although Tayler did think I was crazy singing really loud and doing the hand motions!) HAHA! Quinn actually let me move her hands around though :) It was so much fun! We even played with our 'A' toy that has an Apple on it! It was perfect!

They are too much fun! LOL :) It wasn't as successful as I thought it would be haha, but hey-- I learned an awesome new song!! :) Hopefully as we continue to sing it through out the day, they will be a little more excited about it LOL :)

Alphabet Weeks-- Letter A-- Day 1

Our task today (May 12th) was:

Trace the letter 'A.' This will be directed towards Tayler a little more than Quinn, but I think it will still be fun :) Tayler can recognize the letter 'A' but she doesn't know how to write it as of right now! This will be a great activity for today :)

We had fun tracing the letter 'A' today.. and we even hung it on the fridge with a letter 'A' magnet! :) Quinn wasn't too interested in tracing LOL but she played with her 'Yo Babba Babba ammimals' as Tayler calls them haha! :)

Alphabet Weeks--- LETTER 'A'!

I saw a post on Pinterest for daycare students that was called 'LETTER OF THE WEEK'
and it got me thinking... that would be awesome to do with my girls this Summer! Tayler LOVES the alphabet and this would be a great opportunity to start teaching Quinn as well :)

I've been doing a lot of research (since I'm doing this at the last minute, I'm struggling!) about 'A' activities that we can do this week and I think I'm ready! :)

MONDAY- Trace the letter 'A.' This will be directed towards Tayler a little more than Quinn, but I think it will still be fun :) Tayler can recognize the letter 'A' but she doesn't know how to write it as of right now! This will be a great activity for today :)

And that sums up 'A-WEEK!' If you want to join me, you are more than welcome to! I plan on taking pictures each day of the girls and me doing our Alphabet Activities! I am SO excited to start this! It should make Summer very enjoyable-- not to mention, this is going to continue for 26 weeks (starting today..) I only have 24 weeks til I'm due with this baby! It's the perfect 'count down' til Nate is here!

I hope you enjoy me on this ADVENTURE! :)

August 13th Journal Prompt: Anger.

The journal prompt of the day is: How do you deal with your anger? I bottle a lot of my emotions up inside. If I feel anger- it may show on...
