The X... Factor

Yes, I'm addicted. Okay-- who seriously didn't see that coming considering I was an American Idol advocate?

I LOVE reality TV. It's sad, really. I'm even more addicted to "Tough Love" but lets not even get into that, okay? haha!

The X-Factor. We have been watching it since Day 1. And I have to say that I COMPLETELY agree with who is left. Yes, Astro had talent. No, he did not have the right attitude to win. If he was my son, I would have beat his hind end the week before and sent him packing (and kept Stacy Francis there.. I had her pegged for the top 3) but I digress.. Drew is a good singer, but not powerful. She'll still make records..

Who do I want to win?

Josh.

Simple as that.

Oh and if Rachel Crowe could win too, that'd be awesome. She needs her own bathroom, k? :)

But I think Josh is the most marketable. Plus he's from Ohio. I'm just a tad bias.

Tayler Update :)

I cannot believe it is December already. Seriously-- I know everyone says this, but where in the world has time gone? I feel like I was just pregnant during Christmas Eve last year.... everyone walking up and rubbing my belly, waiting for Tayler to kick. Now, she's here.... and by time Christmas Eve is here, she will be a week from 9 months old.

While it is amazing to see all of her milestones, I can't help but think that life is just going too quickly. My husband and I were talking the other day and he said "Just think... we only have 17 more of what we just had.." and it's hard to think like that. I'm thankful I get to see her every day, but I'm sad that time goes as fast as it does. She doesn't even like cuddling with me anymore. She has to be SUPER tired for that to happen and that often brings a tear to my eye.

Tayler has become little Miss Independent. She wants to do everything on her. She wants to drink her bottle on her own, sleep by herself, try and climb up on to things... It's crazy to see how much she has changed in the past 35 weeks (that's how old she is today!)

She still only has two teeth (on the bottom), but we think the next two are gradually making their way down. We know this because of the lack of sleep we have had the past 4 nights, haha! :) She is crawling everywhere.. and quickly... to where she falls down sometimes, haha! She tries to pull herself up-- on everything. Which is the root of a few of the bumps on her head. Silly goose!

She eats--- everything. While still taking a bottle, she eats a good bit of baby food and big people food. Her favorites? Mango baby food, blueberry baby yogurt, orange juice, and any type of bread. :)

She is just getting more gorgeous every single day. Her hair is getting longer.. (it covers her ears now!!) and she's so tall. She laughs.. screeches.. anything you can imagine. Her favorite TV show is "Yo Gabba Gabba" which we have decided will be her 1st birthday theme :) She is glued to the TV when that is on. It is so cute!! She falls asleep to it too, so it must be comforting to her.

She is such a blessing to our lives. I can't wait to share in more memories with her! :) I just printed off like 7 months worth of pictures (yes, I was behind haha) but it was so nice to relive those moment all over again!!

Yes, I'm Back!

As most of you might have noticed, I took a little bit of a hiatus. Sorry! It was completely unexpected, but needed to be done for a period of time. Blogging was becoming a chore, not so much of a hobby and I hated that. So, I figured I would take a little bit of a break and then get back to it...
So.
Here I am! :)
I won't be blogging every day like I had been doing. That was just too much, haha. It was all well and good when I was pregnant, but with a crawler on my hands, I don't have the time to sit and focus on that anymore. I've been working part time writing articles for a company, plus selling Scentsy, plus being a Mommy. Lots on the plate! So, this is going to be a place for me to release my excitement, frustration, triumphs, struggles, etc. 
Hope you are all ready to join me on the journey of just being a simple blogger-- not a Project 365er, just a blogger. Just Alyssa.
I'll be back with an update on our life... Tayler.. all of that jazz soon! She's grown leaps and bounds since I last posted (over a month ago!) She's 8 months old at 2:22am (well, if tomorrow were November 31st...) She is crawling everywhere, pulling herself up on things.. just a crazy little kid, haha!

Project 365: Day 134- October 28th

If you couldn't tell, I am SO behind on this! It has been SO busy around here! I will get into more of those details as I continue updating, but just wanted to say sorry to those that are faithful to viewing this blog! :) love you guys!
Okay.
So, Friday. Friday was a HUGE laundry day! We are preparing to move and I want to get as much stuff washed NOW as I can so that I do not have to worry about it when we move in. So, I was doing laundry for hours... literally, haha! And guess what? I had an adorable little helper. I am really not sure how I EVER did laundry without her ;)

After finishing all of that, we decided we were a tad bit bored, so we went for a drive. It was pretty cold out, so Tayler got dressed in her cute little coat and hat! :) I thought she looked adorable!!

And oh my heavens, the sky was amazing!! I took this on our little drive... does the heart good to see something like that!!

Project 365: Day 133- October 27th (and Project 52)

Tayler turned 30 weeks old today!! :) It's crazy. I was going through old pictures and saw a picture of my 30 week belly. It's insane how life changes SO much and SO quickly. I will say this-- I did not appreciate my pregnancy as much as I wanted to. I LOVED it but I shouldn't have wished it to go by so fast because now, I miss it. I adore Tayler being here, but man, I miss her kicks and rolls. :) 
Okay. Done with my past for awhile, haha! Here's a picture of our 30 week old:

How about those socks? Look like shoes! Wahoo! :)
And of course, what makes ANY mommies day is SNUGGLE TIME!! :) I LOVE these moments!!

And so, we hung out all night with Daddy. We watched our TV shows (Person of Interest and Sweet Home Alabama ;)) and then guess what? It was almost 11:00PM and Tayler was still wide awake!!! LOL She's usually asleep by at least 10 or a little after, so this was surprising haha! I mean, she was going full force.

Project 365: Day 132- October 26th

As you can see, we haven't gotten out much lately. The temperature has been dropping, so we've been hanging out inside. PLUS, Daddy takes Mommy's car to work now, so she'd have to take the HUGE truck out and about and that's not always fun, haha! :) Soooo, most of my upcoming pictures are going to be of Tayler, but we're all okay with that, right? :)

Here she is hardly holding still because she wants to go! LOL

Such a sweetheart. My heart longs for her to crawl because I see how frustrated she gets when she lands on the floor like that! Bless her heart!
After that, we went outside, snuggled up, and watched Daddy rotate the tires:

After that, we went and stalked our house, stopped at Walmart, and cuddled up for scary movies!
